It's pertinent Jeff because people keep claiming Obama is best buds with a terrorist, yet no mention is made of the relation our current President has to the man that led the 9/11 attacks. When the Bin Laden family was here, they were rushed out of the United States without so much as a question being asked. Why? Then, the POTUS meets with the Saudi royals, home to 15 of the 19 hijackers. Why? Those questions have never been answered.
And isn't the three things you pointed out exactly what happened 2000-2006? Three branches, one party, 2 of the most conservative judges ever put on the Supreme Court using their activist positions to complete their agendas....
I agree that a balance of power is needed or at least parties that don't act like their only goal is to divide and conquer. But be fair Jeff, both parties are guilty.

Anyway, here is an amusing video about McCain and Bush.

Oh- and vote for McCain! When Hell freezes over! --- And there must be more people then I thought who feel this way. Check your Az. Republic this morning. Obama is closing the gap in Arizona. I don't necessarily think that Obama is the answer. My guy lost in the primaries.
i am a McCain supporter but you have seen time and again where i have been willing to criticize Bush. you would think he thought his Veto Pen was boobytrapped and connected directly to a 230kV power line.
good to see you on here ! i'll look at the vid later - as long as something is funny, i don't care who it lampoons.
oh, and my first pick lost in the primaries too.

regardless of which side you are on... the thought of the office of President being occupied by the same Democrat party as will have a further stranglehold on the Democrat majority in Congress gives me pause and is of grave concern to me.
Bush didn't pick up his veto pen except on two or three occassions and so he is as culpable as the rest in where we are and where we are headed... that said... at least the threat of him doing so (coupled with a Congress that wasn't veto proof) prevented the Dems from going absolutely insane with spending and their liberal social agenda. without that folks... i shudder to think. please vote McCain to prevent the completion of the triangle....
1) Democrat President (Executive branch)
2) Democrat majority in Congress (Veto proof even possibly - although that would be moot in event of Dem President) (Legislative branch)
3) Liberal / Activist Judges appointed and rushed through Congress (Judicial branch)
so much for separation of powers. so much for checks/balances.
Bottom line: In my opinion, we need to get rid of this two, three, four Party system, and start putting people in office that are "qualified" to speak for their State...their People. Let's look at the representative's qualifications to act on our behalf and concentrate less on Party policies. Maybe that will happen with this Congress. If not, the people need to organize and make it happen.Last edited on Wed Oct 29th, 2008 04:06 pm by Bambi

| Are you speaking about the same bin laden family that were the only people to occupy our Country's airspace back then, as they escaped with one of our planes provided by our President?

Anyone have the video of the Bush family meeting with the Bin Laden family on 9/11? You know that meeting at the Carlyle group hq that was cut short when baby Bin Laden turned his back on the Bush dynasty. Let's get that video out there too. Then we can have a fair discussion about who is buddies with terrorists.

HIGLEY WEEKLY READER SUPPRESSES DAMAGING McCAIN VIDEOTAPE
OCTOBER 28, 2008
The Higley (AZ) Weekly Reader is withholding a controversial and damaging video of Republican Presidential Candidate John McCain secretly taped last March at McCain's Sedona, Arizona, home.
Reportedly, McCain is pictured on the video alone and dressed in a ballerina costume dancing gracefully in circles while the theme song from the television show 'Cheers' is being played.
Do you have a link?

I'm not favoring either candidate but...
If Obama listed his associations, affiliations and personal history on a WalMart application he most likely would not get hired.
In addition as a commander in chief Obama would most likely not pass a basic security clearance investigation due to his history. The commander in chief should be able to have access to classified government material. He would not get by. I know folks who have gone thru these types of investigations and they are very, very comprehensive. A simple thing like using 2 names can cause your rejection.
If he wanted to become a cop he most likely would not get the nod because they also do a comprehensive back ground check. They dont care about explanations about guys like Ayers and affiliations with convicted crooks. They just drop you.
Say it dont matter all you want...but in the real world it does. Try the WalMart app just for fun and list your association with a known domestic terrorist and tell them you used drugs and see if you get the greeter job.
Maybe a WalMart screen is in order before one runs for president.
Republicans...Democrats..I vote either way. This time around we dont have decent choices.

The Los Angeles Times is refusing to release a videotape showing Barack Obama attending an event in Chicago honoring a Palestinian activist who formerly served as a spokesman for Yasser Arafat.
The 2003 event was a farewell party for Rashid Khalidi, who was leaving the University of Chicago to take a position at Columbia University in New York.
Obama, then an Illinois state senator, lavished praise on Khalidi at the party, which was sponsored by the Arab American Action Network. So did unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, according to Andrew C. McCarthy, contributing editor at National Review, who disclosed Khalidi’s link to "master terrorist" Arafat.
Back in April, Peter Wallsten of the Los Angeles Times wrote about the party and disclosed: "The event was videotaped, and a copy of the tape was obtained by The Times."
But as the Boston Herald noted about the videotape, "The Los Angeles Times refuses to release it."
McCarthy observed: "Is there just a teeny-weenie chance that this was an evening of Israel-bashing Obama would find very difficult to explain? Could it be that The Times, a pillar of the Obamedia, is covering for its guy?"
Khalidi himself spoke at the event, praising Obama and telling the crowd that he deserved their help in winning a U.S. Senate seat. "You will not have a better senator under any circumstances," he said.
In the 1970s, Khalidi taught at a university in Beirut, Lebanon, and often spoke on behalf of Arafat’s Palestinian Liberation Organization.
In 1990s, he advised the Palestinian delegation during peace negotiations. And in 2000, Khalidi and his wife held a fundraiser for Obama’s unsuccessful congressional bid.
The following year, a social service organization whose board was headed by Khalidi’s wife received a $40,000 grant from a local charity that included Obama among its board of directors, the Times reported in April.
The Times disclosed: "At Khalidi’s 2003 farewell party, one young Palestinian American recited a poem accusing the Israeli government of terrorism in its treatment of Palestinians and sharply criticizing U.S. support of Israel. If Palestinians cannot secure their own land, she said, ‘then you will never see a day of peace.’
"One speaker likened ‘Zionist settlers on the West Bank’ to Osama bin Laden, saying both had been ‘blinded by ideology.’"
Regarding anti-Israeli rhetoric, McCarthy wrote that Obama "wouldn’t possibly let something like that pass without a spirited defense of the Israel he tells us he so stanchly supports, would he?
"I guess to answer that question, we’d have to know what was on the tape."
