The San Tan Archeological Society museum.

S.E. corner of Ellsworth.

Wednesday evening, November 12th, 7pm at the San Tan Historical Society museum.

Jim Britton will be speaking on the Pueblo Grande archeological site.

Jim is an avocation archeologist with an expertise and passion for both historic and prehistoric restoration and stabilization. He has assembled a group of similarly enthusiastic volunteers that are widely known in this region’s archeological circles as an invaluable resource.
They call themselves the “Mud Slingers” in irreverent reference to their work in adobe and other masonry restorations. Jim has advised us that he can arrange a special guided tour of the site for those interested.

If we can demonstrate sufficient local interest in this area’s significant prehistory, we can continue to attract top notch informative and entertaining speakers and make their presentations available to the general public.
We can also put guest speakers in the schools to inform students of prehistoric sites in their own communities. And if such lectures encourage interest in Archeological Society membership and hands on participation in archeological digs or restoration projects, training and State certifications can be provided.

The Archeological Society needs help in making people aware of what they are making available to the community.

As a community service, as an educational opportunity, as an excuse to get together with old friends and make some new ones, or equally important as just a fun thing to do or be a part of, the San Tan Archeological Society is an incredible community enrichment. And the lectures are FREE!
