The Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale will host its second annual Safety and Awareness Family Event today at its Vestar Branch, 3975 E. Lockwood Drive.
The free community event will include presentations, demonstrations and displays designed to promote the message of keeping youths safe and healthy in the Valley.
Topics will include drowning prevention and ways parents can be sure their children are safe while surfing the Internet. Participants will include Scottsdale’s and Phoenix’s police and fire departments as well as the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, Governor’s Office and Department of Public Safety.
