UNITED CHURCH OF SUN CITY TO SHOW FILM ON “THE FIRST CHRISTIANS”
National Geographic film part of monthly film series including “The Student Prince”

SUN CITY, Ariz.  – “The First Christians,” a National Geographic film that suggests how the first followers of Jesus spread their faith across a geographically vast and culturally diverse region, will be shown for free at the United Church of Sun City at 9 am April 21 at the church, 11250 N. 107th Avenue. Pastor Jim Fredette will lead a discussion following the film.

And as part of the church’s free monthly film series, the 1954 movie “The Student Prince” will be shown at 1 pm April 24 at the church. The classic operetta stars Edmund Purdom, and the dubbed voice of Mario Lanza, as a handsome prince sent from his Heidelburg castle to a university to learn about life and love in the world. He falls in love with a beautiful inkeeper’s daughter, played by Ann Blyth, but their differences in social status threaten the romance. Songs include: “Deep in My Heart,” “Serenade,” and “Golden Days.”

The United Church of Sun City welcomes visitors of all faiths. For more information, call the church at 623-933-0058 or visit www. uccsc.com.
