Here is a HAZARDOUS DISPOSAL ALERT to all that purchase COMPACT FLOURESCENT LIGHTBULBS. CFLs contain Mercury, a known toxic element and Cancer causing agent. If broken in your home, you are required to call HAZMAT and get them to come to dispose of the Mercury that has been spilled. Some have done this and the cost is nearly $2000 for the cleanup. Think about it.

Seniors Invited to Green Fair

Would you like to learn about products to help you clean your house that won’t harm you?  Sunday, April 20th, from 11 – 1 pm is your chance to learn about that and more.  A Green Fair will be held at the Church of the Palms that includes booths for samples of organic products and fair trade coffee, as well as the new light bulbs, and more.  The church is located at 14808 N Boswell Blvd, at 103rd and Boswell.  For questions call 623-977-8359.

“The Green Fair is the kick off event for the greening of the Palms.  In June we will show segments of the Planet Earth series.  July features the Vacation Church School for adults around the theme of earth keeping.  The community is invited to participate in all of our programs,” said Rev. Len Silvester.

The Church of the Palms, a glad and generous community, is located in Sun City, across from the Sundial Recreation Center.  For more information call 623-977-8359 or visit http://www.thepalms.org. There will be ample parking for the event.
