I have an idea. Since bowling continues to lose money, how does $180,000 per year
sound to help offset the costs for bowling fees, maintenance, etc. I have been watching PBA bowling on Sundays. They have advertising on the sweeper bar, done
professionally. The dollar figures I am using is a guess, it could be more. Johnson Lanes has 30 lanes for bowling. Following is an example of advertising on each lane.
Each Lane per month: $500.00 x 30 lanes
thats: $15,000 per month
Multiple that by 30 lanes it come to $180,000 per year
I timed the sweeper bar at Johnson Lanes which would contain the advertising.
12 seconds each time. If you were in business, how would you like to see your
company name every 12 seconds. I believe the Casino's in Arizona, Realtors,
Auto Dealerships, etc would love the exposer for their business in Sun City West.
Sun City West residents patronize these businesses on a daily basis. What's wrong
with Walmart, Kohls, Home Depot and restaujrants. I am NOT in the advertising
business and know very little about it. What is the initial cost to put business names
on the sweeper bars, I have no idea. There must be retired advertising people who
could help make this progrlam work.
This is my second try at this program. I have been told that my previous tries had
been disapproved because they thought it would look GAUDY. If this is done right,
it would be a windfall. While I am it, golf could use some advertising on each o
their T-Boxes. They have it each year during tournament play. I think the Golf
