Recommend golf lessons
Recreation Centers of Sun City officials started preparing to increase golf course usage by providing free golf lessons four Saturdays in March.
The lessons were led by four Professional Golf Association and Ladies Professional Golf Association professionals giving demonstrations and individual help to more than 100 people.
A followup pilot program was started in April, offering five 1.5-hour class lessons for eight students for $99. Sarah Bakefelt, LPGA class A member with life member status, taught this class. She helped each studentg individually to practice correctly and to gain confidence to enjoy playing golf.
Sarah has successfully given individual and group lessons for 30 years. She is very supportive and encouraging to each student individually. She works hard to make sure hand grip, golf club positioning and swing are done correctly, and she also teaches golf etiquette.
I completed Sarah’s class and would highloy recommend them to new and/or frustrated golfers. Classes will be offered again this fall.
