Hmmm....
O.K. realitycheck101, I disagree with you.
I also disagree with your current statement because.......
1. Your second sentence of your main paragraph in your previous writing was a direct insult to pretty much everybody that has ever written anything on this blog.
2. Your current statement has lies in it: You stated that I said you were uneducated, that's not true. I wrote "have you not educated yourself about Mr. Hackbarths behavior by simply reading the public documents at Town Hall?". You also claim "i stated that each person has their own belief". Where?...., because you said nothing like that in your previous and only other commentary. You also claim that I twisted your statement into my own. Not true again. I simply added my own comments making sure that my interjection stood out and could not be confused with your commentary. You also stated that your thoughts were general thoughts, and that your "statements were all open questions". Still not true. Most of your statement, in my opinion, was the same old tired rederik. It was a completely biased opinion, based on what Bryan says is fact attack on Mr. Fooks, and a letter of support for the three that were recalled.
You are attempting to "twist" what I have said and done. You are also trying to "demonize" me, (make me the bad person).
People can scroll down and re-read commentary don't ya know.
As for my screen name, ihatepoliticians, it was simply shorter than " I hate the way politics seem to have become more about personal gain than about our nation and its citizens. Our country becomes more and more divided every year by our own politicians and their parties."
P.S. Bryan lost by 70%. That in itself is a statement.

I agree with you 100%, anyone who has lived in Youngtown any length of time knows that the new sub-division is not the cause of the increase in crime. Taking our overlay away has done more harm to this town than any other thing could cause. I believe Agua Fria Ranch probably has less crime than there than what we have in the older part of town, reason being that those families bought houses that are new and they are built to house families and the area is a much more family friendly place to live, strictly because it was built for families. Our older area has smaller homes built for 2 retired persons, which are now cramming in families with 2,3,4 or more children. An area that Youngtown is trying to do the best they can to improve with sidewalks and street lights and parks, but for 50 years, which is how old most of thse houses are, they have been 2 person homes. We need all the help we can get to keep crime down, because god help us when these 5 to 10 year olds get to be 13 to 18 and are all trying to park their cars in the single driveways and have their boom boxes as loud as their parents have now, our streets will be clogged with cars, which never hardly used to park on the streets, and you will not be able to hear your tv while sitting in your living room. But the reason for this is not the Agua Fria sub-division......think about it!!!!

This is from plntlvr in another forum.
i HOPE THE NEW MAYOR DOES POSITIVE FOR THE TOWN AND IN TIME WE WILL SEE, I HAVE LIVED HERE 7 YEARS AND HAVE SEEN GOOD THINGS HAPPEN IN YOUNGTOWN , BUT i AM SORRY THE AGUA fRIA HAS BROUGHT A LOT OF CRIME TO THE TOWN. ALOT OF SPEEDERS ON PEORIA. i DID NOT LIKE MR. FOOKS AND WAS NOT TOO SAD TO SEE HIM GO. EXCEPT FOR THE SALARY THE TOWN HAD TO PAY HIM. MONEY THROWN AWAY.ANY MAN THAT LOOKS ME STRAIGHT IN THE EYE AND TELLS ME OUR SIDEWALKS ARE FREE IS AN IDIOT.
I appreciate your opinion, and would like to express mine.
I don't believe it was the Agua Fria subdivision that has brought the very noticable amount of crime throughout our town. I think it was the loss of the overlay. When you moved in seven years ago, Youngtown was still new to the public. The only people that knew we were here, were the residents, and Realtors. The demographics have drastically changed, and Youngtown police no longer stop people driving through simply because it's after eight o'clock at night. It's true, There is a lot of crime in the subdivision, but we were supposed to have at least two additional officers to help police the subdivision out of the developer impact fees. That never happened. As residents, we need to be involved and help the police department. Join the block watch program. Find out what you can do to help protect, at the very least, the street you live on.
Now, as far as Mr. Fooks, I know some people out there don't like him, but remember, without Mr. Fooks introducing Youngtown to different programs and grant money, none of the "good" that you have seen, would have been made possible. Our police officers would still be driving that ford fiesta, and would create the appearance of mall security.
Talking about the sidewalks, well, I'm not sure what you mean, but I am going to guess that you are talking about tax payer dollars. I believe that municipalities are exempt from most, if not all, forms of tax which would suggest that the sidewalks actually were free too Youngtown. Some of our own tax pennies may have been given to Youngtown to help build the sidewalks, but some of our tax pennies have also been given to people that are now considered terrorists. People can look at tax dollars any way they want, but it still comes down to this; taxes are monies willingly given to various levels of government so that they may function at their discretion.
I will give you one example of what I believe to be wrong thinking. Picture a belligerent drunk that gets into a confrontation with the police. The drunk says to the officer, "I pay your salary!". First, that's not exactly the best thing to say, whatever leniency they may have given you, just got thrown out the window. Second, technically, the police department pays the salaries. Although the police department is ultimately funded by tax money, there is no direct link. Police officers do not stop by our houses to collect their paychecks. Just because we pay taxes does not mean we are the "boss" of any government employee.
So call me an idiot if you want, but I do believe that the sidewalks were in-fact, free too Youngtown.

Since I am really tired of typing about Mr. Hackbarth and friends, I am going to start a new forum, and it shall be named..........."Changing Youngtown".
I could not think of a better name, but it covers all the bases.
I would like it to be a forum discussing ideas and not candidates. The new Mayor of Youngtown, Mr. LeVault, has expressed the desire to seek out input from citizens, so let's give it to him.
I know that there are a lot of people who read this forum, but do not participate, ... please, participate in "Changing Youngtown".

For those whom had trouble reading RealityCheck101's post - here it is in a more readable format.
POSTED BY REALITYCHECK101
have you ever heard of the quote:
dance as though no one is watching you, love as though you have never been hurt before, sing as though no one can hear you, live as though heaven is on earth.
basically its saying to be yourself and let no negativity get in your way of living your most prosperous life. i just joined this public issues forum and looked among many different views based upon the recall of recent politician members and the best word to describe the reactions are "wow" if almost each one of you stepped back and looked at what you have posted you would realize that you're not conversating what you think ,but quoting what others have made you believe. reality check. this was made for you, so think for yourself and not what others have shaped into your head. if you think someone did something bad say "hey listen... we don't like what you did and I think you should fix it". if they listen, their good leaders and if they don't, their not. I'm sorry to say but the recall was stupidity. you had good leaders who listen with open ears but also who had open eyes to reality. you wouldn't want someone who would go up to a retired citizen and say i want one million dollars so I can buy a new mustang and a house on the lake. but yet you support a man who would do just that and people who follow. You criticize them for getting rid of a man who would be so low to do something that bad. but put yourself in their shoes. would you give your child a piece of candy even though they hated you for just that moment instead of letting their teeth rot for the rest of their life. and would you buy your 16 year old child a new car in place of an older one, instead of sending them to college. the answers no. why? because you looked at the cost and benefits and mostly the future. Mayor Hackbarth, and Council members Patricia Champagne, and John Weigand looked at both the costs and benefits of having Fooks on the board. logically it was just not right. he had put them into major debt and would continue to pull them down and the town just to get more for himself. Giving is more of gift than receiving one. They figured that the cost would out way the benefits that he brought to the town and it would be a smart idea to pay the cost to get rid of him rather then let him continue his term making even a larger debt it cost to get rid of him. And now that the truth is out, is that what you really want to base your claim on for getting rid of a group of politician who looked at each angle, and choose the best way for the future of your town. to follow a group who would support a man who could do something that low. if the problem was not resolved it could have been you, or a loved one who had suffered as Youngtown, Arizona disappeared off the map. Who do you follow now....?

O.K. RealityCheck101, let's discuss your blog.
dance as though no one is watching you, love as though you have never been hurt before, sing as though no one can hear you, live as though heaven is on earth.
basically its saying to be yourself and let no negativity get in your way of living your most prosperous life. i just joined this public issues forum and looked among many different views based upon the recall of recent politician members and the best word to describe the reactions are "wow" if almost each one of you stepped back and looked at what you have posted you would realize that you're not conversating what you think ,but quoting what others have made you believe. reality check. this was made for you, so think for yourself and not what others have shaped into your head. Reality check is about to do that vary thing. if you think someone did something bad say "hey listen... we don't like what you did and I think you should fix it". if they listen, their good leaders and if they don't, their not. Several people including our law enforcement, the town attorney, council members, department heads, Sun City Fire, and citizens said " hey listen... we don't like what you did and I think you should fix it", but Mr. Hackbarths unsavory actions got worse and more blatant, so on November 7th, the citizens decided to fix it themselves. I'm sorry to say but the recall was stupidity. you had good leaders who listen with open ears but also who had open eyes to reality. I'm sorry, but what planet are you from? Did you not see the recalled three's campaign tactics? Good people? Have you not educated yourself about Mr. Hackbarths' behavior by simply reading the public documents at Town Hall? Did you not know that Ken Champagne has currently two "Injunctions of Harassment" against him, and possible charges for threatening and intimidation, and aggravated assault are pending? Patricia Champagne condones their behavior, do you? As far as their eyes being open to reality, they must need glasses, because their reality is completely distorted. you wouldn't want someone who would go up to a retired citizen and say i want one million dollars so I can buy a new mustang and a house on the lake. but yet you support a man who would do just that and people who follow. You criticize them for getting rid of a man who would be so low to do something that bad. What? Why don't you go back and read your third thru fifth sentence before you continue RealityCheck101. Why does the Hackbarth side continue to try and degrade Mr. Fooks? The recall was not about bringing Mr. Fooks back to Youngtown, it was about removing a man who created a negative atmosphere for Youngtown, Bryan Hackbarth. You ... RealityCheck101......need to step back and look at everything. The citizens spoke very loudly on November 7th, and if nothing else, said they are tired of all the political Bad Stuff and wanted a change. , but put yourself in their shoes. would you give your child a piece of candy even though they hated you for just that moment instead of letting their teeth rot for the rest of their life. What? and would you buy your 16 year old child a new car in place of an older one, instead of sending them to college. the answers no. why? because you looked at the cost and benefits and mostly the future. Mayor Hackbarth, and Council members Patricia Champagne, and John Weigand looked at both the costs and benefits of having Fooks on the board. logically it was just not right. he had put them into major debt and would continue to pull them down and the town just to get more for himself. < Are you talking about Bryan or Mark at this point? The town is not in debt, you guys need to quit inflating the truth. Check out Bryan Hackbarth's expense reports. Items are not pre-approved by council, they are reimbursements after the fact. Bryan has BLOWN a lot of town money as apposed to being able to see tangible evidence how Mr. Fooks has "spent" town funds that had been approved by the council. Giving is more of gift than receiving one. < nice try, but there is much more evidence of Mr. Hackbarth believing the opposite They figured that the cost would out way the benefits that he brought to the town and it would be a smart idea to pay the cost to get rid of him rather then let him continue his term making even a larger debt it cost to get rid of him. And now that the truth is out, is that what you really want to base your claim on for getting rid of a group of politician who looked at each angle, and choose the best way for the future of your town. First of all, in the last election, Mr Hackbarth proved to others and myself, that he did not know anything about a lot of things, including, how the financial world works,( the Town Hall building issue). Mr. Hackbarth had a failed business attempt, does not hold a job outside his public servant office, has continued to live outside his means with town money, introduced health insurance for council members (which benefited him the most), and wanted to make available to all employees, as a pay raise, the ability for the town to pick up the cost of insuring their entire family( if you know how health insurance works, then you know, that decision would have only benefited the single worker uninsured families, namely Hackbarth and two others, and not every employee). There are several other "things" along with all the complaints on and off the record, and you still want us to believe that we made a wrong choice on election day? Second, what "truth" is out? The only "facts" I have heard from Mr. Hackbarth's side about Mr. Fooks are straight from Bryan's mouth with nothing to back it up. They Say, " look at the budget", but all that shows is that money was spent, our "savings" is depleted, and the majority of the council approved every line item. It doesn't say " It's Marks fault", or even that it's Bryan's fault, but if Bryan Hackbarth says our current financial situation is solely because of Mr. Fooks, wouldn't he be just as guilty for letting him do it for 3 1/2 years? If Mr. Fooks was as bad as Mr. Hackbarth wants us to believe, wouldn't we want new leadership in town hall that might have a better handle on business tactics and the ability to recognize improprieties as improprieties? to follow a group who would support a man who could do something that low. < My thoughts exactly. If you are aware of how Mr. Hackbarth has treated employees, fellow politicians, utility reps, people in general, etc., etc., and have read all the complaints against Mr. Hackbarth filed at Town Hall, yet you support him, doesn't that make you just as bad? if the problem was not resolved it could have been you, or a loved one who had suffered as Youngtown, Arizona disappeared off the map. The problem was resolved on November 7th, 2006. Who do you follow now....? I still follow GOD and I voted for Michael LeVault, Dorena Mello, and Jack Duran to bring some peace and stability to our town.

| To whom it may concern: I recently authored a posting in the Youngtown Public Issues Forum that could be interpreted as a threat against some individuals in the community. It was not meant this way. It was an attempt at humor that was ill-conceived. I apologize to anyone who may have taken the comment the wrong way. I will think before I write in the future. Thank you.

| I apologize for a segment I posted earlier that has been removed. It was not intended as a personal attack or to offend. I started typing, and became more and more angry as I wrote. Again, I apologize to whomever it may have offended.

For those that don't know......
Bryan Hackbarth, Patricia Champagne, and John Weigund are no more.
In talking with some different employees of Youngtown today, there were sighs of relief, and genuine smiles.
No more threats.......
No more intimidation..........
No more power crazed lunatic..................
and I have two say it just one more time.......
" I can have any ------ ------ fired and everybody has to do what I say, I am the Mayor God damn it!"
Mayor Hackbarth, Patricia Champagne, and John Weigund....... In the immortal words of Donald Trump,
"You're Fired!"

Dirty Polls...........
Apearantly, all day long Bryan Hackbarth, Ken Champagne, Patricia Champagne, Paul Beck, and John Weigund were spouting nasty remarks, making rude comments, and basically trying to egg on either a yelling match, or a physical confrontation with Mr. LeVault, Dorena Mello, Jack Duran, and others that were helping them at the polls at almost a constant pace.
On one occasion, Ken Champagne approached a voter and stated," if you want to keep the fireworks on the Fourth of July, Keep the Mayor". The citizen then asked, "what do you mean?", Ken started to talk and was approached by Former council member Mr. Smith. Ken then apparently said in a defensive tone, "you got something to say?", and Mr. Smith replied "No, keep going, what do the fireworks have to do with voting for the Mayor?". Ken Champagne then looked at the citizen and said, " vote for Hackbarth ", then turned and walked away and said very audibly, "nosy ------ ------!". The voter laughed shaking his head as he walked toward the polls.
Mayor Hackbarth had a couple cornered and was talking very quietly so that if you were eight feet away, you couldn't hear what was being said. Mr. LeVault decided to be curious and walked toward the Mayor, and once the Mayor realized this, Bryan spoke at a normal volume and said, " thanks for coming out to vote", cutting off the conversation and walked away.
Many times did Bryan Hackbarth and his side lower the volume of their voices while talking to people. All of this says one thing. They were lying to the voters.
Needless to say..................they lost. By 70%.
I'm not gloating, I just want to say.............thank you GOD.
Now comes the final stretch where we may witness an ugly transition, or the Mayor might keep to what he stated in the Daily News Sun, and concede without causing any problems.
Bryan has been seen putting boxes in his vehicle today and on Monday. Everything in his office, except his family pictures, was payed for with town money and is town property. Including any plants, and I believe even the picture frames. What did Mr. Hackbarth have to box up? Mr. Hackbarth also spent some time shredding documents. Bryan Hackbarth sure knows how to avoid suspicion.

I was just doing some running around, and I noticed that the Hackbarth "team" has taken down their " Youngtown is not for sale" sign at 111th and Peoria. Now they have put the "conspiracy" sign up in its place. You can tell they don't have any support when............ well, just look at their sign.
Bryan Hackbarth and his running mates have tried the "back alley slander" approach, They've tried to get that slander in the papers, and the papers said "we don't believe you". Hackbarth has tried to inflate and corrupt the truth and bring false charges against Larry Ogelsby, a supporter of the recall. The deal with that...... it started out as Larry was trying to "bribe" and "threaten" Patricia Champagne, and when nobody bought that, it is all about the "conspiracy".
Conspiracy is not a bad word by the way.
A group of Youngtown citizens did conspire to have a recall and then approached Mr. LeVault for running as Mayor, so I guess Bryan was right about a conspiracy, he would just rather have you think the reasons for the recall was Mr. LeVault having a vendetta and not that Bryan is simply an incompetent, power hungry, .............well, just all around, not a very nice guy.
Today is the day.

I believe it was Saturdays Daily News Sun that had an article where Mrs. Champagne says something to the effect of, " I am confident about the recall, and believe the citizens will do what is right, and not what is personal".
?
I believe that every type of decision I make is personal.
Even voting.

I said that I would not name call, but I have to point out, if for some reason someone hasn't noticed, the Hackbarth team just are not that good with spelling and grammar. Bryan Hackbarth has a good way with B.S., and I always thought he would make a good senator, ......for a special interest group. I am going to give Bryan Hackbarth some advice,............you have no middle game. You have a great start,.........but it ends there.
Let me give you an "analogy".
Bryan Hackbarth is like a con man, or .............. a boy in high school, (metaphorically). In the beginning, he's nice to you, woos you by telling you things you want to hear, gains your confidence, gains your trust, and maybe he even impresses you to some extent. Then......after he gets what he wants.......that's the end,........and that's Bryan's problem. He's got the beginning, and the end, but no middle.
Mr. Hackbarth,........... "you had me at hello", .................but then you kept talking.
It has been 3 1/2 years since you first took office, what happened to all the campaign promises?
First "people" are giving you credit for the "good things" that have transpired through town, and you yourself have used phrases such as "under my administration" which is a psychological verbal suggestion that implies you are the leader, and deserve the credit. (Think about it, every politician in the top position of there political arena uses that phrase. Those politicians want people to "remember" that they did whatever it was that the people liked, so that the people will vote for them in the future).
Now, .........you finally admit that the only thing you have done during your 3 1/2 years in office is the street light project. One good idea, does not make a leader.
I will however point out that very soon after your initial start in office, it was your idea to give all the employees a 25% raise across the board. Even though some don't, I happen to agree with that, so in 3 1/2 years, I'll give you credit for two good things. Unfortunately for you, your inappropriate behavior and your constant reminders of that type of behavior, along with the lies and "inflated" truths, out weighs the two good things you did. By a long shot.
Mr. Hackbarth has also said that during his time in office, the Town Council has done more for Youngtown than any previous administration. I have to agree with that, but I also have to point out again, that it wasn't until about six years ago that the town started noticing the change in demographics. When the overlay fell apart, the residents weren't happy. Even four years ago, Youngtown was mostly a quite place to live where I felt comfortable with my wife walking at night by herself. Now, I simply wonder why the Mayor never mentioned during the budget process the $800,000 plus dollars of Agua Fria Developer Impact money sitting in an account that was partly supposed to be used to employ more officers. What do you want to do with that Money Mayor? Legally, that money has to be spent on personnel and equipment to better equip the town for a larger population. Instead of drastically cutting Public Works' budget, we should be using some of that "impact" money. We should also be hiring a couple of more officers with that money. That is what it is intended for.

P.S. If you can, there is a "Candidate Open House" 9am to 12pm Saturday Nov. 4th at 11200 W Wisconsin Ave Suite #12
"Any and All Questions Welcome" the flier says. So please, stop by and ask questions. If you've heard rumors from Bryan Hackbarth and his team, stop by and ask to hear the other side of the story. Stop by if just to heckle. You will see a difference between these candidates and Bryan Hackbarth's side. They would invite you to sit down and talk about your issues instead of yelling back and calling you names such as "piece of shit faggot", as Ken Champagne called Michael LeVault this morning. It was also caught on video tape. These candidates are well educated and successful people, and that poses a serious threat to Bryan's manhood.
Bryan Hackbarth is about to lose his job, his health insurance, his "power" position, and the security of that "power" position that once taken away, he will soon find out just how many enemies he's created by abusing that "power".
I believe there will also be copies to read of all or most of the public record complaints and findings against Mr. Hackbarth.

I will now apologize to everyone that has appreciated my being "nice" in this forum. I'm am completely and thoroughly disgusted with a few people, and I may stray from being nice.
First, let me begin with a fundraiser that Mr. LeVault had a couple of Saturday's ago. Mr. LeVault advertised the "Meet The Candidates" fundraiser in the newspaper, made sure and talked to town officials about an event permit, and also spread the word verbally. Mr. Hackbarth found out about it, and started planning a party right across the street. Bryan Hackbarth and his "side" were displaying a huge sign that can now be seen at the corner of Peoria and 111th. It says, "We the people, Youngtown is not for sale". When asked by the Daily News Sun photographer what they meant by that, Bryan Hackbarth said, " they are over there buying votes". The photographer said, "what do you mean?", and Mr. Hackbarth's reply was this, (read it slowly), " they are over there charging people to get in, and we are giving our stuff away for free". So which one looks more like buying votes?
Mr. Hackbarth also made rude comments to passers by that were attending Mr. LeVaults function.
The same day/function......The weekend reporter for the Daily News Sun, Joshua Garber, interviewed Bryan Hackbarth, and Bryan stated that Mr. LeVault approached Bryan and said "Why don't you take your wetback wife and kids back to Mexico", and " we will address the real reason behind the recall and Mr. Levaults racism in a press release next week". Mr. Hackbarth also states in his "PAGE 5", " Why, Mike LaVault did you not include Mr. Leija and his family in your monthly newsletter and keep him informed? Do you have something against the Latino and Hispanic community?" First, Mr. LeVault does not mail the newsletter or control who receives it, the HOA management company does all of that. Second, Mr. Leija is lying if he says he doesn't ever receive any, because he also receives one at Town Hall as a council member.
Joshua Garber, the reporter, then interviewed Mr. LeVault across the street, and told him, in front of some Hispanic supporters, about Bryan's claim that Mr. Levault is a racist. Needless to say that everyone in attendance was appalled, but not shocked, that Bryan Hackbarth would utter such a despicable lie. One of the "things" that has me floored, is that Lorbes Hackbarth is now spreading a similar lie. She has approached an acquaintance that is Hispanic, and told her that " if Michael LeVault becomes Mayor, he is going to ship all the Hispanics back to Mexico". My respect and pity for that woman just went out the window. Either Bryan has convinced her of his lies, or she is now lying for him. Michael LeVault is nowhere near being a racist, nor could I believe that he has ever made a racist remark to anybody.
Bryan Hackbarth knows that if you are engaged in a political race as an opponent, you cannot sue for slander or defamation of character. During the last election some of you as well as myself probably heard that Mayoral candidate Derek Smith was a "bad father", "possibly abusive", "his wages were being garnished at Town Hall because he wasn't paying his child support", "Mr. Smith is a drug user, and the Mayor had it on good authority that Mr. Smith has an arrest record that includes drug dealing", - the Mayor also stated that he did not want someone with a drug history on the council, (but what about Mr. Leija Bryan?). Bryan Hackbarth also claimed that Mr. Smith was spreading rumors about Bryan having an affair with the late Janice Beck, ( which coincidently, according to Mr. Smith, is the same lie that Bryan Hackbarth told him his first week in office, except Lucille Rutherford and Larry Ogelsby were supposedly spreading that rumor.). Mr. Smith then contacted the Attorney General's office, and talked to a few different civil attorney's, which they all said pretty much what I confirmed with a friend who's an attorney, and my own phone call to the AG's office. Politicians follow different laws. They can lie, lie, lie, and the only thing you can do, is vote against them in the next election.
Isn't that absurd!!
By the way, everything you heard about Mr. Smith was a lie, with the exception of his wages being garnished. According to Mr. Smith, his wages were not being garnished because he was behind, his wages had been garnished from the day his divorce was finalized. According to the Attorney General's office, it is a state mandate that child support be recovered through "wage reimbursement". Anybody seen Mr. Smith with his son? They are just about attached at the hip. I know Derek to be nothing less than a loving and protective father.
There were only a couple of lies about Jack Duran that I heard, and one of them was that he was being "investigated" by the I.R.S., because, according to Bryan Hackbarth, "Jack's cars and clothes are too nice, he has to be stealing from the church and school". First of all, Bryan Hackbarth knew about the "investigation" before Jack Duran was notified by the I.R.S.. How you ask? Well, according to the I.R.S. letter, the "investigation" was sparked by an anonymous "tip". I'm going to go ahead and go out on a limb here, but I'm just guessing, and it would appear to be obvious, that Bryan, at the very least, had something to do with the "anonymous tip". Let me clear something up for everyone that heard that Mr. Duran was living too good for a pastor. Both Jack and his wife each have two jobs. All four incomes total under $5000 dollars per month. The total seems like a good number, but when you work seven days a week, days and evenings, it hardly seems worth it to me. I would go get a single, better paying job.
By the way.... nothing came from the investigation, other than a compliment on how New Joy Ministries keeps thorough track of its tithing's.
I have now also lost respect for Mr. Weigund, as he was down in the Agua Fria subdivision this morning with Mr. Hackbarth stopping cars and supporting the comments that Mayor Hackbarth and Ken Champagne were saying to motorists. Appearantly they were stopping cars, telling people that "your HOA president is a loser and a liar", then handed them a flier with a phone number on it to listen to the "tape" of Larry Ogelsby supposedly threatening, trying to bribe Patricia Champagne, and the "irrefutable truth about the real reason behind the recall".
First of all, Mr. Hackbarth has been referring to it as a tape, when it is in fact a CD.
Second, if you can, please listen to the CD (623-933-3126). Mayor Bryan Hackbarth starts out with some commentary suggesting that the conversation between Mr. Ogelsby and Mrs. Champagne was "via" Michael LeVault. I am not exactly sure what he meant by that, because I believe when you say "I sent it to you via e-mail", that suggests via means "in the way of", or "through", and Michael LeVault was not a part in that conversation. Bryan might be attempting to suggest that Larry was speaking on Mr. LeVaults behalf, but as you will hear, that is simply not the case either.
Michael LeVault is not rendering a vendetta as Bryan Hackbarth would have you believe. The night of, and the immediate days following the described meeting, Michael LeVault was approached by a group of Youngtown citizens and council members to run against Mayor Hackbarth in a recall election that was already being discussed. I was one of them. I am also the one that suggested a voter registration drive, which by the way, Mr. Hackbarth tried to stop. Who doesn't want people to vote?
When Larry Ogelsby says "they" on the recording, he is referring to us, (and himself), Not Michael LeVault.
Mr. Ogelsby is a big supporter of the recall effort, and that is why he has been the target of attacks recently.
If you have ever been up for an appointment in Youngtown or have simply been at the meetings where it takes place, you will have noticed that the appointment process is much like the hiring of our new Town Manager, it doesn't make sense. There have been a few candidates recently for appointment that make the majority of our council look like uneducated inbreds, (just an analogy). Their education and current job status made them extremely qualified for the position of a council member, but those people were overlooked for people like Patricia Champagne and Mr. Leija. The reason? For the Fourth vote. The fourth vote makes a majority, and if the Mayor doesn't think you'll vote his way, you're not on his list. Every time you hear Mayor Hackbarth say "the Majority of Council voted for it", it was the three votes he controls, plus his own. Mr. Leija was Bryan Hackbarth's son's soccer coach. The two of them were buddy buddy before he got on council, and portrayed a different, non-friendship relationship to the rest of the council during the appointment procedure. Does that seem miss leading? Just for that fact, it also seems likely that Bryan Hackbarth had already talked to Mr. Leija about terminating Mr. Fooks once he was appointed, because the termination transpired very shortly after Mr. Leija's appointment.
More to come.....

So much to talk about , so little time.
" PAGE 5" continued......
"PAGE 5" states that Larry Oglesby was appointed to the CDBG from the Mayor's recommendation, and that no other council wanted the alternate position. Bryan Hackbarth must be talking about this most recent council only. I know that according to Larry Ogelsby and confirmed by former Council Member Derek Smith, that Mr. Smith did in fact want the alternate position and Mr. Oglesby had told the Mayor and former Town Manager Mr. Fooks that he wanted Mr. Smith to be the alternate. When it later came for a vote, the Mayor decided he wanted to be the alternate and that was the end of that.
For the street light project, I believe it was Bryan Hackbarths suggestion for the five year CDBG plan, and he made sure it came before other ideas such as bathrooms at the parks, a youth, senior, or community center, and improving commercial frontage right-of-ways.
Now for the senior programs......
It is common knowledge within town that Bryan Hackbarth the Mayor, wants the Sun City clubs, and people, out of Youngtown. Just ask Rita F. Roddy of Sun City. Rita is the woman mentioned in the incident in the Library , (Public Records March 11, 2006 Approx. 10:50 am), where the Mayor Bryan Hackbarth threatened to have her arrested if she didn't do what he said. After the whole confrontation, on the way back to the clubhouse. Mr Hackbarth is quoted as saying "the patron was probably from Sun City anyway, and should have her library card revoked". If Sun City patrons stopped coming to Youngtown, besides QuickTrip, Jack in the Box, Denny's, and the hotels, our business' would be severely hurt.
Mr. Fooks did not remove the craft clubs because of the "census people". The "census people" could have used the clubhouse. The clubhouse had just been remodeled, and there is no way any sane person would have suggested that those clubs use the clubhouse. If you had just refinished or installed new hardwood flooring, would you let somebody use a kiln, pottery wheel, etc.. on it? The small building that was housing these craft clubs, was simply, (at that time), going to be needed in the future for storage of archives and the future sports and recreation equipment. Bryan Hackbarth simply used the "census people" as an avenue to boot them out sooner than later. Yes, Mr. Fooks did the booting, Mr. Hackbarth used to complain to town staff about the club members parking right in front of the building that they used................ because Bryan wanted to be able to park, at any time, next to the Town Hall side door and in the afternoon shade.
Baseball Field.............
I have to be honest, I don't have any facts or insight about " Mark Fooks wanted to borrow from the bank $1.5 million to build the field.." , but from past conversations with Mr. Hackbarth and town staff, I can guarantee that the total of $1.5 million dollars was a direct result of what Bryan Hackbarth wanted that Field to be. It is however, hard for me to believe that Mr. Fooks wanted to borrow money from a bank. Mr. Fooks would have rather ed the council had implemented a property tax than borrow, but the simple borrowing of that money could have forced us into a property tax.
Bryan Hackbarth states, " You can't build a field for $120,000.00 as you have stated. Know the true facts Michael Lavault." First of all, I don't think that Mr. Hackbarth has ever extended the courtesy of simply spelling LeVault correctly. Second, I feel confident that I could in fact, build a very nice baseball field for $120,000.

In reference to The Rest of the Story Page 5 “The Fact Continued” - Mr. Hackbarth asks the question “why are the renters of the HOA treated differently from the homeowners. Why are they not included in the newsletter?”
Well lets see – HOA ( Home OWNERS Association ) The OWNERS of the house receive the newsletter, that by the way is sent via the management company of the HOA – NOT Mr LeVault – so if you want to know why the renters don’t receive the newsletter – perhaps you should contact the management company of the HOA – besides the Town of Youngtown including the Mayor and ALL council members receive a copy of the newsletter at Town Hall, so in fact Mr Leija should have received one at the Town Hall.
I won’t even address the racist insinuation of the question asked on the bottom of Page 5 except to say – How incredibly desperate to play a race card now.

O.K., Let's get started.......verbatim.
I'm am going to skip down to "For the Record, Larry Oglesby....", on "PAGE 5, THE FACTS CONTINUED".
"For the record, Larry Oglesby was given the fishing derby and other things from Janice Beck, and Larry started it and it now fell to the wayside."
I might be incorrect, but I'm pretty sure we had a fishing derby on the Fourth of July. Larry Oglesby did not let anything go to the wayside, they cut out the fish restocking money from the budget. By the way, in case someone forgot, fish are not just for catching. They also eat insects such as mosquitoes, and help control algae.
The second dislike I have with that sentence is "other things". The phrase "other things" is very vague, and I am left wondering......since "things" is plural, and "it" is singular, were those "things" implied to be attached to the "it" sentence, or did Larry simply not let those "things" "go to the wayside"?
Confused? Do what I did, read it a few more times.....and I even wrote it. It does make sense.
Why is he even attacking Mr. Oglesby? Larry Oglesby is not on the ballot.
The very next line reads....
"Don't believe it; speak with her daughter, Julie."
Who?
Now, please, don't take what I am about to say as an attack against Julie. I've met Julie and probably know more about her than she would like me too, from conversations with her mother. This is not an attack, it is a truthful observation.
Except to her family, .......who is Julie?
Are people just supposed to trust her because she's related to Janice? What part in this community has she played that would automatically convince Youngtown residents to trust that she knows and will speak the absolute truth about Youngtown politics? He might as well said," Don't believe it; speak with my neighbor,...... Bob".
more to come......

CONTRARY TO YOUR BELIEF, FOOKS IS NOT GOD, IN FACT HE IS THE TOTAL OPPOSITE. DID YOU HAPPEN TO NOTICE THAT SOON AFTER BEING HIRED BY EL MIRAGE, THEIR BUDGET WENT UP BY OVER 4 MILL. COINCIDENCE??? OR NOT??!!!
Sue,
Could it be that the budget went up over 4 million because El Mirage PD is now defunct and that the increase in budget may be the fact that they had to contract with MCSO for law enforcement protection in El Mirage and contract with MCSO for dispatch service in El Mirage? This along with other factors raised the budget perhaps?
How could Mr Fooks even have a finger pointed at him for that? He isn't even in the capacity to effect the budget in El Mirage - He is the Human Resource department.
This was in the work LONG before Mr Fooks arrived in El Mirage.

STOP THE PRESS!!!!!!!
Has everyone seen the flyer's that Mr. Hackbarth and Mr. Levault have inserted into the Independent papers these past few weeks?
Has everyone seen today's?
If you don't receive the Independent Newspaper, PLEASE find a neighbor that does, and read the four inserts, one from Bryan Hackbarth, one from Mr. LeVault, and 2 from Mr. Levault supporters. These inserts are only provided to the subscribers in Youngtown.
Mr. Hackbarth's "PAGE 5, THE FACTS CONTINUED"is filled with a plethora of facts. I am now completely convinced that Bryan Hackbarth has done nothing but an honest, well managed, and well represented job as Mayor and that.................................. Michael LeVault is a racist?!
Give Me A Break!
Bryan Hackbarth has once again, lowered the standard.
Stay Tuned.............. the truth will set you free.
