i heard nothing new in what David Letterman said except that it was directed at Sarah Palin and not George W. Bush. Letterman has been one of the three political assassins on late-night television for many years. He is a mean spirtited man as is Jay Leno and to a lesser degreee Conan Obrien. Don't give us the crap that Leno is such a nice guy! He stabbed GWB in the heart with his political and personal attacks every night. The "joke" writers for Letterman and Leno on NBC and ABC are cowards writng vicious things about people they couldn't carry water for and had no way to respond. Letterman pushed that envelope, as do all political personalities on TV, until he said a dispicable thing about a minor female child of Sarah Palin's.
That did it! You could not reach the CBS switchboard yesterday - the calls about Letterman's comments about Sarah Palin and her daughter angered decent people across America. He was being "cute," but we haven't forgotten his son was born out of wedlock, so at which baseball game did he "knock-up" his son's young mother? Letterman is a cad! But the rules of decency apply to him and excestentually to Leno and Obrien. These are not SNL cesspools of how low can you go?
