The topic was Walmart prices, but unfortunately PTG finds the need to change everything to sex offenders IN EVERY FORUM he goes in.. I do agree with LFMOM, there should be a difference in the classification of "SEX OFFENDER". Too many young men are being branded sex offenders for life simply for having sex with their teenage girlfriends, many who were underage when the relationship started. That is WRONG. And putting them on the same page with rapists and child molesters is WRONG. I am personally aware of 2 young men who have been put in this position because their girlfriends got pregnant. And yes, the parents were well aware of what was going on. So why cry rape???  Rape is a violent act  and the term is thrown around way to easily.

Just remember  that it could be your son on that list some day when his ex girlfriend gets mad because he dumped her!!

Comparing someone who is racist against Black People, and someone who does not like sex offenders is a little out there.

Sex Offenders have rights?  Not around my kids.

This is totally OFF THE TOPIC. We were discussing Walmart. But out of curiosity, why would a husband/man be charged with rape for having sex with his wife in the car???I can see possibly some possibly less dramatic charges,  if it was broad daylight and the neighbors and/or minor children were exposed to it, or it was in the Walmart parking lot. Indecent exposure maybe, but rape is a whole different catagory, which incluides the possibility that the girfriend was underaged and the male was not a minor. I didn't realize sex between consenting ADULTS was a crime.

Females crying rape because they didn't want their parents knowing they were having sex and end up pregnant, boyfriend /girlfriend having sex then he is arrested after they break up to get revenge, parental knowledge of a sexual relationship by an older male /underage female that is condoned by parents.. Those I don't consider sex offenders and I think the law has gone haywire. Unfortunately these poor guys get branded for life and the girl walks away and all people see is what's on the registry..

This is what makes true rape victims afraid to report the crimes.  And the real rapists walk free.

NOW BACK TO WALMART!!!!!!!!

Personal attacks cause I believe that sex offenders have rights. You tell me, if you were caught having sex with your wife or your girlfriend... say in your car... why would the male be placed as a tier 2 offender and the female a non-registerable tier 1??? How can you be convicted of a non-registerable crime in Maryland and then have another state force you to register as a rapist??? With the way you go on every post I do to point out that I believe in sex offender rights.. I remember a day in America when people would do that, but they would be using the word N----. Have a bigoted day.

They aren't in Delaware either.  Do they believe that Sex Offenders Have Rights?  Since that is what your SOHR stands for.

Just to get it right... you have to go off of the average for the Central Atlantic states and 5/26/08 the price of Diesel was $4.91. The most recent average is now $3.20. That is only $1.71 per gallon change. Now when they purchase the fuel in Bulk again, then we could look at the lower prices... This is where I got the information from.

http://tonto.eia.doe.gov/oog/info/wohdp/diesel_detail_report_combined.asp

Now if you want to see the start of the trend, then you should read the letter below...

http://www.wegmans.com

Read how they are bucking the trend and slashing the prices across the board. They are very outstanding in their stores and in customer service.

I have been shocked at some of the sites I have seen at this Walmart.

In several instances, I looked around to see if I was on Candid Camera

because what I was witnessing was that absurd!  I won't go into the messy details,

but one day I actually left the store because I was that grossed out!

If you like "three ring circuses" watch the employees in the deli dept.

Witt Brothers is the bomb diggity as far as getting meat goes!  You know its good because theres always a whole bunch of people in there waiting for the butcher.  Haas' is a little out of the way but is excellent as well.

Im really getting weary of wal-mart like you said because of the insanity of the parking lot, the rising prices, and the long lines (I always seem to get stuck behind the loser who has to use their WIC check, then use cash for the rest of their stuff or the old lady that pays for a pack of gum with a check. )  Plus I really cant stand looking at the throngs of white trash heavily tattooed woodside trailer park lowlifes with their 16 year old baby mama girlfriends who cant form a sentence without including at least 5 vulgarities.

FYI

Walmart stores do NOT have butcher shops on the premises.

This means the beef, pork & veal that you purchase there has been trucked in

from God knows where.

Safeway has a great Meat Dept., you just have to buy what is on sale to catch

a good price.

I also recommend Witt Bros in Camden.  They sell Boars Head luncheon meats

which are a little pricey, but the quality is well worth it.

Spence's on Tues, Fri & Sat is another good place to shop for meats and baked

goods.

Byler's  out on Rt 8 is the cheapest place for luncheon meats, cheese and baking

products.

Our family dreads the weekly trip to Walmart, but we shop there for about

70% of our grocery items because the  prices are lower than the other chains.

We hate the parking lot, the long lines and half the time the shelves are not

stocked.

So shop like you used to before China*Mart came along and drove your local grocer out of business......oops, you can't.  You demanded lower prices and Wal*Mart fed your addiction, while Mom & Pop died and went away.

Be careful what you ask for.

Diesel has droped from almost $5.00 in May down to about $2.75 which is a dramatic drop. I doubt prices will go much lower due to the heating season.

Walmart's prices , as with everyone's prices, went up with the gas prices, and will probably not drop because it's making them $$$$$$. Cut the size of products down in size and then up the price means big bucks because we are still going to buy what we need.  But like I said, as a convience I do my one stop shopping there, and I am well aware of prices, so the roll back signs are a joke. For someone that doesn't shop there something might look like a bargain, but for me I think it's wrong that they say they rolled back a price from a price it never was .

So here is my  hypothesis:

Not all markets are in sync. Give it time. If the prices stay this way, then you will notice things balancing out. Walmart, just like most major fleets, pay for fuel in bulk and they may be still operating on fuel they bought back when it was higher. If those people are worth their $$, they won't be paying higher prices for long.

I am not a fan of Wal-mart (grocery store), I hate every time I have to step in to that place (because of their horrible stocking logistics), but I think this is more of a trend at any place that has to buy in bulk and speculate on what the cost of transportation is going to be.

Finally, Wal-Mart does not produce these products, they have to buy them from somewhere. If they don't lower their prices, Wal-Mart can't lower theirs.

I wish it was as simple as 'oh look, gas prices are lower, so milk will be cheaper tommorow'.

Just so you know, the price of diesel has not dropped due to the corn shortage in the bio-diesel, so those prices still remain. Now Wal-Mart is a cheat. I shop at SAVE-A-LOT. It is a subsidairy of Super Value, who owns Acme and Metro. You get the same items like Acme, but at 40% less. They hired a new produce manager that has turned that place around. I now go there for produce and fresh cut meat. It's worth the trip...  :dude:

WalMart is probably being hit with the same economic difficulties the rest of us are. None the less, their prices are still the best around. Unfortunately this economic catastrophy we are in is not likely to go away for a very long time, particularly if Obama/Biden are elected and get their way turning this country into one large welfare state. The big stores like WalMart will survive. The small ones, the mom and pop stores so to speak will all perish under the economic plan outlined by those two. Very dark situation we face.

What the heck is going on with the Walmart prices???  Gas prices have dropped to $2.10 and $2.89 for diesel, yet the store's prices continue to climb. Examples, GV (store brand)coffee creamer was $1.97 and is now $3.97. Kraft mayo was $2.44 and is now $3.24. Leighhigh milk did drop from almost $5, but I quit buying it there when I could get it at Valero for $2.99 and get a free gallon after 10 purchases. And I have gone in for 2 weeks to purchase items that store employees said would be in within the week, guess what?? 2 weeks later it's still not there. It is rediculous. OHHH and I love the Roll back signs. Funny thing is that the so called prices were never that price to begin with. The Lipton green tea is a great example of that. It was $5.97when it first came out, then dropped to $4.97 and was that  price all summer. The sign says it was rolled back from $6.97, a price it never was. And beware...they have a habit of stocking items in the so called clearance sections that are not clearance. Pool chemicals were in the clearance aisle with the rest of the pool supplies and other clearance items, toys, games etc, howerer the chemicals were still reg price.        This is especially popular after Christmas.:X

And they stock items in spaces they don't belong, so you basically have to get on your hands and knees to read upc tickets on the shelf, if they happen to have one. I feel like it is legalized theft on their part .  Alot of people don't realize they've been charged the wrong price till they get home. And who wants to drive all the way back for a buck or two you 've been overcharged. Can you imagine how much $$$ is made by that alone?? I have reported items ringing up incorrectly only to come back again and find it still the same wrong price. That is stealing!!:X

I always loved walmart  for the convience, but it looks like the real walmart is showing its true colors. Shame Shame Shame:X:X:X
