| Consolidate the 2 police depts and rent the unused space in the mansion. Those actions might provide sufficient revenue and keep everybody employed.

| And the police dept used to all work in the same quarry too. Shared. I believe the two mayors could not agree on who would be the boss, so that arrangement ended. Just think -- together they could have built the camden police temple more quick. Last edited on Thu Jul 30th, 2009 09:16 pm by Barney Rubble

| This is pretty ridulous that everyone is talking about this. This two towns have been separate for years and for a reasons that probably we will none never know. Everyone if your going to talk about what this two town have together then get your stories correct. Not only do they share a fire department and post office but they share a water and sewer department. So before you just talking get your facts right.

I'd like to see it happen. The only thing Wyoming is good for is writing tickets on Westville Road. Shameless.

In a nutshell......
Camden is up past their eyeballs in debt, Wyoming is debt free. We don't want merge and share their financial burdens, including their massive town hall with the big ole' price tag. We are an independent small town who loves being neighbors but that is good enough. Thanks anyway!

| Now that we have that spanking brand new $$$Million$$$ town hall would just make economic sense to merge our two towns together! We already share our Volunteer Fire Company and most likely could save a little money by joining our two towns Police Dept. Could still be Camden and Wyoming but just call our joint towns local government body Camden/Wyoming and the Camden/Wyoming Police Dept same as our Camden/Wyoming Fire Company. Both town's are great communities and both together would compliment each other. Folk's from both town's enjoy the Bank and Witt Bros Market and regrettably both sooner or later use Pippen's Funeral Services!!!!

| Don't forget the C-W Little and C-W Big Leagues in baseball. People who live in the Camden area call home, "Camden, DE" and ones who live in the Wyoming area call home, "Wyoming, DE." It's quite unique and is historically correct. Don't even think of messing it up now. There is an unspoken rivalry Camden v. Wyoming that doesn't interfer with joint usages under the "CW" banner which is best left alone. Until we see posters that say "WE WANT YOU" to fight for either the Camden or Wyoming side, keep the peace by leaving the sleeping dog lay.

Point well taken! But don't tell them, let's just refer to it as the "fire company"! We all love those guys, no matter what town they live in!!

| Seriously, They are seperate towns? I don't get it. There is a Camden, A Wymoming and a Camden-Wyoming. I honestly always thought all 3 were 1 in the same and the people living in them were confused as to what to call it and so everyone just accepted all 3 names as correct. Well silly me!

That sounds about right. Anyone that thinks Wyoming and Camden should be one town has got to be running a HIGH Temp. I am sure Maryland would love to Annex Delaware. LOL

Yes it did start here, and here it will stay. Wyoming is not the one with a plan. I only ask to see the plan but I guess Carlos went on Vacation. Is there really a plan or is Carlos blowing smoke?

| What makes you think we are all from Wyoming? I believe this topic started on the Camden forum.

| Why don't you folks from wyoming keep this on your own forum? Why would the people from Camden want any part of such a small venture?

A merge of the two Towns would be like a wedding between the Hatfields and McCoys

Going back to my Jr High days I never understood why they were two towns. Made absolutely no sense then and still doesn't.

I have a couple of questions, that the people want to know: Are you the only one that has worked on this plan? Have you had comments from others? Why do you feel that the towns should merge? Have you contacted anyone from either town? Do you have any support for the plan?
You have stated that you have a feasible plan, Lets see it. If you want the input of the citizens, you should post the plan and let the citizens see what your plan entails so they can add their comments. Good or bad.
These are some of my thoughts. Looking forward to your reply.

Wyoming is in good economic standing. We refuse to consider being Camden's financial stimulus bailout resource. Their council got themselves into a financial mess and Wyoming wants no part of it. Perhaps if they keep moving south, Woodside would consider merging with them.

| There is no reason to merge the towns. Camden is so screwed up I wouldn't merge it with my mother-in-law.

I do feel that the towns should be merged. What about you? As I prepare my feasable plan to allow a merge, why not share some of your ideas with everyone.
(And please no personal attacks... This is a serious issue for me)
