If they have implemented a few of your ideas, you have nothing to back you for putting them down like you do.What i do for the city is strictly business,But i will tell you this i put my heart and soul into this great city.

You guys make me laugh.I'm sure you guys or gals was out at city hall helping out the people you wanted to win.Brian worked hard to do what he had to do to win,yet when i went to vote he was standing alone.I myself pat the man on the back for just running and trying to make a change. It's people like you that want to cry moan and groan about taxes. If you think Harrington is the only town raising taxes to make ends meet you are sadly wrong.Instead of whinning on here just look into what you complain about. You think economy only hits households(NOT) it hits everything. My suggestion for you is try doing something for the city that may help the city, instead of crying about what has happened.I'm sure the council members will listen to anything you have to say.

This is a sad day for Harrington.  With all the residents in Harrington, that's all that came out to vote?  Residents had the opportunity to vote for a change.  So now don't complain when things don't go your way!  So now we still have no one that will stand up for what they believe in!  Same old stuff different day.

Hold on to and save as much money as you can people of Harrington, because you have not seen any rate increase yet, with the same people voted in office your rates will go up, you can take that to the bank for sure. You had a chance to get new blood, and you voted not to have new blood.

The Journal

HARRINGTON — Nearly 15 percent of registered voters in the City of Harrington came out to vote Tuesday.

Of the 2,005 voters 306 cast their votes.

Robert E. "Gene" Price Jr. retains his seat as Mayor of Harrington beating challenger Anthony R. "Tony" Moyer 186 to 120.

"It might have been a rainy day, but I appreciate everyone that took the time to vote," Mayor Price said. "We had a large turnout which was good. We had a clean race on both counts which I appreciate. I am looking forward to getting thing we have started accomplished and finishing things up. I very much appreciate the support the community gave me and will try and do well with it."

"I am happy with the vote. And you know what? There is another term coming up. We gave it a shot, and the best man won," Mr. Moyer said after hearing the results.

The 4th District Council race was a close one.

Councilwoman Cheryl Lahman beat her opponent, Brian P. Slattery, by three votes.

The final tally was 28 for Vice Mayor Lahman and 25 for Mr. Slattery.

"I wish Cheryl the best as she continues her service on council and I continue my service on the Planning & Zoning Commission," Mr. Slattery said. "Though I did not emerge victorious, my interests and desires have not been dampened or extinguished."

At press time, Mrs. Lahman was unavailable for comment.
