School concerts feature First State Force Band

LAUREL — A doubleheader concert in late January showcasing the Delaware State Police First State Force Band will punctuate celebration of National Mentoring Month.

The Laurel Kids’ Connection through the Delaware Adolescent Program, Inc., is sponsoring two concerts by the popular state police band on Friday, Jan. 23 at the Laurel Field House, next to Laurel Middle School at 801 Central Ave.

The band will perform at 9 a.m. for fifth- and sixth-graders and at 1 p.m. for seventh- and eighth-grade students

Additional details will be available in December and January by contacting Lynne Betts at 629-7790, Ext. 14.
