Well here I am view number 10,909:).  Do I get a prize?  Been lurking here for some time.  I must admit for a while there I was drinking the anti-Nancy Koolaid.  Then I heard who this "Buckleup" person was from a neighbor of mine and she told me his story..

The truth is this whole thread is pretty much been orchestrated by one guy.  A guy who does have a vendetta...So guess what, I am voting for her.  She has done some good things for me and my community..

Great observation Dover Delawarean. World domination will never be attained. But exposing a corruption just might occur. I think an average of 17 views a day over 11,000 days does show some significant interest. Oh I forgot – thanks for joining in and being one of the 10,908 viewers and counting.

Jeesh, this post has been going on since September 7, 2006!!! Lets assume that you will have 11,000 views by June 7. That will be 21 months or roughly 639 days. Now divide the number of page views by the number of days (11,000 / 639) and you get about 17 views a day.

Now think about how many times each of the main players come here each day.

Yeah, your hopes of world domination have come up a bit short....

Fred – you may be a wise gentleman but I doubt you are omniscient. How do you know I haven’t make contributions against Wagner? How do you know I haven’t personally told her what I think about her corrupt behavior? How do you know I haven’t campaigned against her? Therefore, your inference that this blog is my only venue to "bitch" is without any degree of credibility. I would also suggest that if someone has a problem with a political figure then running against them is not the only viable option. I assuming you know better than that.

To sum up:

If you don't like her, don't vote for her.  I'd also suggest sending a letter to her if you feel that strongly about it.

If you really don't like her, support her opponent in the next election.   Contribute, make phone calls, but do something other then simply b!tch about it.

If you think you can do better...take the jump and run. I'm ready to support a challenger. If you have the guts, start the campaign here.

Somehow Bob I don't think that when Nancy loses the election, it will be enough for you.  Your disdain expressed as Buckleup (and your other alter egos) speaks in the bitter tone of a spurned lover!    Perhaps you'll never get over her Bob..:(

Changing the subject a bit, if getting her out of office is what you want, then stop your cowardly mudslinging and stand up.  Run.  Or does your life have some spot or stain that you don't want others to scrutinize?  In that respect, Nancy has it all over you!!

Good luck Bob...I will leave it to ODG and others to carry on.  See ya in November!

Got it – according to the two of you (Fred & Poltergeist) we should only hold our legislators accountable if they violate criminal laws. If we talk about ethics or civil violations of the law then that is mudslinging. Incidentally, only the Attorney General can bring criminal charges so us remaining mere mortal are limited to civil charges.

Well, a few details that you could add in that might add a bit of background to it.

The first point....is this a criminal case, or a civil case brought by someone against her?  Has there been any other action in this court case? What are the chances of it going further?

Point #2:  Going to be very, very difficult to prove. This is Delaware, and if you've been here more then 25 years, you probably are related to half of the state.

Point #3: Perhaps it is true; not a criminal case.

Point #4:  Not  really a point

Point #5: Number of hits aren't that important, really.  Amazing how the "hits" for the DEDO suddenly and quickly dropped off when a few stopped posting...

And, for the record, I don't think she should run again.  I have voted for her every time, but even if she hasn't done wrong from a legal point of view, these issues are poor form.

Poltergeist, nice to have you join in. To begin with my name is not Bob or Robert but Old Dover Guy and Number 1 believe they have somehow made a major discovery. So if you insist on calling me Bob go for it.

I find your “mudslinging” comment interesting. Nancy Wagner is a public figure but it seems according to you documented facts about her should not be open for discussion in a public blog because somehow documented facts are considered “mudslinging”.

Truth Dude, you stole my thunder by congradulating Number 1 and Old Dover Guy for keeping Nancy Wagner in the top spot. I agree, Wagner must be thrilled with the two of them. Thanks for the NEWS FLASH about Wagner’s June 16th double dipping trail date. My guess the views on this blog will reach 10,700 by the end of the day thanks to the Old Dover Guy/Number 1 comedy show.

Congratulations are in order for Old Dover Guy and Number 1. They are still keeping Nancy Wagner right on top for everyone to see her name – 10,629 views and counting. Keep up the good work. I’m sure Wagner loves her name being at the top of the list.

NEWS FLASH – I just learned that Ms. Nancy will be in Superior Court in Wilmington on June 16, 2008 to ask the Judge to dismiss the “double dipping” lawsuit against her. If she fails then the case will go to trail. Sad to say I won’t be able to make the big event but I’m certain Old Dover Guy and Number 1 wouldn’t miss it for the world.

Why can't everyone concede that Nancy WAgner and Dick Cathcart are just corrupt legislatures that have become Sessoms puppets at DSU. They use their position to violate rules and regulations.  THe fact is that people in Delaware are to lazy and noncaring to do anything about them.  Thats why Minner has been in office so long. No one wnats to really address the corruptness.

Buckle Up responds -- My name isn’t Bob. In fact you have the wrong gender. So I would appreciate it if you would refrain from identifying me as a “tired old man with an ax to grind”. If you don’t know what you are talking about then you should keep your trap shut. SORRY! I forgot you have anointed yourself as the official conscience of the Delaware State News Blog Sites but don’t worry I won’t waste my time responding to your expert advice on other topics.

FACT! It is not about votes. It is about truth. However, according to you truth has no place unless it has your approval.

Please keep responding. That way Ms. Nancy stays right up top for more views. In excess of 10,200 and counting.

Point #1 -- "dirty laundry"! Thanks for reminding us that PUBLIC FIGURE/LEGISLATOR Ms. Nancy Wagner has dirty laundry. In fact, everything I have stated in this anonymous blog about her dirty laundry has come from the news media or was published in a House Bill.

Point #2 -- Number 1, if you don't like the rules of "anonymous blogging" then I suggest you either purchase the State News and change the rules or quit crying like a little baby.

Point #3 -- there have been more than 10,000 views of this blog topic. I guess there must be interest in Ms. Legislator Nancy Wagner's dirty political laundry.

1.  Bob, Bob, Bob...I have no issue with the allegations.  I just think you must be a tired old man with an ax to grind.

2.  I am not the one publishing the mess.  Crying?  Well if you want to call it that..(I certainly don't want you chasing me around the internet...cyber bullying?)

3.  Hopefully, for your sake, those views will turn into votes.  Ain't that what it should be about Bob..votes?

UPS, while what you say may be true, there are avenues much more appropriate than an annonymous internet forum to address these issues.  I agree that Ms. Nancy is in a high profile position that naturally will draw comment and criticism from all corners of Delaware.  But she also is accountable in an election every two years where a political opponent, one that has the courage to put his name and ideas out there gets to run for her position!  So I say to "Bob" and all the other mudslinging posters out there, she was elected by her district.  If you don't like her politics either let your rep know and have them stand up; or, if you reside in her district, run against her!!

Yes, Number 1 you are right on target. Ms. Nancy has maintained a high standard of ethics so we should all just ignore 1-5 above.

Dude,

Is the pound of Ms. Nancy's flesh so compelling that you have to be judge, jury and executioner.  There is an election in November.  For your sake, I hope someone beats her.  Then hopefully we can move on...

It seems that our guy Bob is satisfied for the moment.  At least until another mudslinging opportunity arises!!  I think after the November election, Bob will have to find another public figure to sling his mud at!!

I guess I’m one of the ones Number 1 is referring to as to who has “reemed Ms. Nancy”. Let’s see! She has certainly been an angel during her time serving the people!
1. Gets hubby a job (News Journal).
2. Gets son a job (News Journal).
3. Gets herself a nice cushy job at Del. Sate University without even an interview (News Journal).
4. Makes sure her pay comes out of a special account at Del. State so it will not be public information.
5. Votes against a bill that would have allowed public access to her pay at Del. State.

Yes, Number 1 you are right on target. Ms. Nancy has maintained a high standard of ethics so we should all just ignore 1-5 above.

I am not in the business of defending politicians.  But there are a select few posters who have continually reemed Ms Nancy on this forum since August of 2006!  To date nothing, and I mean zip, zilch, nada has been substantiated...Bob let the justice system and her constituency decide.  If she is guilty, this mudslinging can only help her!!

Why would any institution likely want to employ state legislators?   Certainly not because the administrators have some belief that the legislator's influence could possibly benefit the institution.

Why would anyone consider Cathcart to care about ethics.  How many buildings at DSU have passed inspection because of his influence.   DSU has not followed inspection rules because of Cathcarts position.  Deny if you want DSU and Cathcart it is the truth

Really? Chris Christie in DELAWARE -  In a neighborhood near you?

Sounds like an HBO dramedy in the works.

Delaware is next in line for Federal Corruption investigations.  They are wrapping up in NJ and word has it the current administration has decided to move here next.

It looks like Ms. Nancy Wagner did it again. A recent amendment to a House Bill on “ethics” would have among other things permitted public access to Delaware State University secret payroll information. Thus Wagner’s secret salary at Delaware State University would have been available to the public. No surprise -- Wagner voted against the amendment and it went down in flames.

Either she should have voted for the amendment or at the very least abstained. Evidently, with all the claims of unethical behavior by Representative Nancy Wagner she still doesn't get it.

Sorry Old Dover Guy. I didn’t mean to cause you such a rise in your blood pressure. However, I was under the impression this is a public forum. But at least we have all learned you are a die hard Wagner supporter. Evidently she can do no wrong in your Old Dover Mind. Please feel free to comment. I don’t believe in censorship. Incidentally, I will have more to add to this public forum in the future about the ethical behavior of one Ms. Nancy Wagner. It is your choice rather you read it or not.
