Many of the folks that are involved with those programs are Holy Cross students and parents!!

The list can be expanded to all the other good things. The swelling size of the CYO B.Ball program the V.Ball program the great CCD program and the music programs. The other things I see are the moves to make the School a better place to learn with the past few years getting us  all the new AC and Heat systems. The general look of the outside of the facility has improved and the upkeep seems to being addressed. Most of the people are friendly and welcome all newcomers. The Parish offers a lot to the school in the way of activities and facilities and all of these are great things. Yes there are some issues to work through but the truth is H.C. is filled with caring people good facilities and Christian intent.

This issue will pass and the strong foundation of H.C. will remain. We have been battered in the past and we are still here.

In that case here is my list of things I love:  the Crusader Choir, the science fair, catholic schools week, hallways adorned with student work that is Faith centered, the school sports programs(volleyball, basketball, and baseball) volunteering.

Now I hope others join in...I don't handle looking foolish too well:P

We had no science fair this year. We also have cheerleading, soccer and  wrestling.

I agree that it is a shame that we have come to the point of public self-flagellation but sunlight is the great disinfectant as they say.

Though I am not a fan of this blogging nonsense, I do want to say YES Holy Cross is awesome!!!  I love HC, always have.  I have been a member of the HC parish and family for 30 years.  Our teachers/faculty are absolutely wonderful, the parental involvement is like no other school, and the Catholic Pride we have is phenomenal!  Just because a large majority of the school is not happy with the principal does not mean that HC is terrible, nor does it mean we should air our dirty laundry for all of Dover to see!  No matter what kind of administration we have, Holy Cross is FANTASTIC due to our dedicated, caring, much needed, and much valued teachers.  HC would REALLY have to take a major dive to make me take my children out of there.  I think there is no other choice for Catholic parents than HC.  Are you going to send them into the wild, crazy, terrible public school system?  You might as well feed them to the wolves!  I heart Holy Cross!!!

Went to see my grandchildren 2 or 3 times play basketball on Saturday morning.  What a great time!  From the concessions to the "commisioners" to the refs and players, everyone was filled with the Holy Cross fueled spirit.  Now I know that CYM and the school are separate entities, but many of the coaches and commissioners are involved in the School somehow!!  It's one of the great things about Holy Cross!

It would be funny but it is the way this year has been. No one will say exactly what is going on in public. If people leave the school quitely, then no knows why they left except them and the administration.

Someone mentioned the high enrollment at our school. I wish i could see a comparison of what we started with and what we ended with.

You mean the one that had the excellent article in the DSN? That somehow managed to mention how great the students are, how much they have enjoyed working there, that they were NOT leaving due to other opportunities?

It didn't take much reading in between the lines to see what she was actually saying....funny that it came out right as this blog did.

It's been years since we had an international food festival. We have more than one om team so it would be hard to remember how they all did.

I've been reading the stuff from the other board and I am not sure how I feel (or even know what to feel) about some of the mess going on.  But I would like to add my children teach me more about being Catholic than I ever learned when I was going to Catholic school.  My children are enthusiastic about our religion..Thanks Holy Cross.
