Metro ,  Dollar store and Rite aid  and Wal-mart in Dover not Camden ( reason Dover ) the smell of food and clothes just turn my stomach and the the dover store has mostly none perishable ( can, boxes and jars ) and the cold section has doors . Now just because I shop at wal-mart doesn't mean I want them next to my home. And no their prices aren't always cheaper . Don't buy tuna ( the cheap brand the 6oz can is 3 oz water and three oz tuna ( better off buying name brands ) I won't buy Clothing there cause most tend to rip and shoes fall apart .

Right now Rite aid milk prices average 3.39

Super Fresh , even when working there in the early 90s I never shopped there food was always cheaper else where for me. A lot of the locals shop there and people west of the store still do, But the Amish store( Bylers)  on rt 8 is taking more and more of their customers every day. The prices are great

I shop at Wal Mart in Camden, Target, Safeway, Food Lion, and Acme.  I won't shop at anything in Rodney Village.

I rate them as such:
  1. Safeway and Acme - Tied
  2. Wal Mart
  3. Target
  4. Food Lion
Safeway has what I want.  I do use the Starbucks in there.  I like Acme better, but the Acme near Dover Downs is just too far to drive.   I have seen the female manager at Safeway that has a moustache and perma-scowl, but I can look past that.   Their prices are higher, but I get $30 off with the club discount.

Walmart is convenient, almost too convenient. While I hate that WalMart takes our money and sends it to China, the same is true of Target.   As for produce, it is somewhat local, so I am fine with it.   Wal Mart can't ever be number one on my list, because of the depressing demographic of the shoppers.  Sorry, but it is true.

Target is decent in a pinch for dry goods, like cereal, breakfast bars, popcorn, paper products, etc.

Food Lion.  Dude.   You think Safeway customer service is bad?  I drive PAST Food Lion to get to Safeway REGULARLY.   They made some improvements inside, and I was happy to see that.  But then you have one checkout clerk?  WTH?

I still don't understand why anyone would shop at Superfresh. It's ridiculously expensive.  I get my groceries from the Camden Super Wal-Mart. It's not the most friendly establishment, but I can get an entire cartful of groceries for $40. If I spent that same amount of money at Superfresh, Food Lion, or Metro, I'd leave the store with three bags at most!

I agree (2nd time tonight).  I go in, I know where everything is, and I have absolutely no problem with any of the staff there.  I do see that there are lines, at times, but I cannot recall a time that they did not get rid of the lines by the time I checked through. I get more annoyed when they move the @@#$! stuff around, but I get why the do that.

They have gotten better over the years, but shopping at the commissary is still no picnic, and is still not as good as Superfresh.

You both need to take your shopping dollars elsewhere.  You have choices and if you don't have a car, hop the bus down the street.  Your complaints may be valid to you, but they apparently don't get expressed to the right people at the store.

Your most potent vote is your dollar, move on.

so true...on their commercials they say "I love this store!" I swear, whenever we walk in, I get as far as the 2nd aisle and i say "I hate this store." EVERY TIME.

i agree about the personnel there, too. i know exactly who you are describing. so rude. it's not that hard to be nice.

Superfresh is one of the worst supermarkets we have shopped at, period.

While there are a FEW employees that are very nice (one manager guy, and a few cool peeps in the fruits/veggies section), there are a lot of employees that are rude and got attitudes! One is a manager lady with blond hair. another is an older lady who is flat out rude who looks like she just started there! I mean, come on peeps! this is not the old fashion 1950's where you just don't care about customer service!

Besides that, EVERY TIME we go, the lines take FOR **EVER**. Even if we have like 1 item! It is absolutely ridiculous, the waiting.

And the PRICES! Good-ness! the prices are ridiculous!!!

Their motto on the marketing posters all say, "I Love Superfresh!" Well, it's obvious they are not real customers, that's for sure!
