The latest attack on Kent County Commissioner Allen Angel through the mail by challenger David Anderson is a "sucker punch" without validity.
Anderson has made Angel the most powerful man in Kent County. He claims Angel singlehandedly, without the majority of the Commissioners, has: 1. Drained the County Surplus. 2. Cut 95% of the funds for economic development and 3. Raised school taxes by 43%. I’m surprised he didn’t accuse Angel for the recession too.
Is Anderson that delusional about the power of a single commissioner or that desperate for a job at taxpayers expense?

Well, well, well, Angle wins primary. It is hardly a feather in his hat. I wouldn't call a 100 vote difference decisive. And I wouldn't say 43% of the people who voted for Sean were all developers. I would say that Angle doesn't represent all of the people and his own party is unhappy with his job. I remember years ago when I used to go to the horse races when Dover Downs first opened thinking I could make some extra money betting on horses. The biggest lesson I learned was that the majority of the public that picked a horse was wrong a majority of the time. Usually its either they are uniformed, followers or naive. This is a perfect example of all three.
Think of this. Everyday, if you listen to national affairs, there is bad news for the economy. Businesses are either shutting down, relocating or filing for bankruptcy protection. People are losing jobs, filing for bankruptcy and going through foreclosures. Why in the world would anyone want to help stop economic growth, it controls itself. All people like Angle and the rest of the "Levy Court shut em down crowd" do is add salt to an already huge open cut. I would say that difference in the votes between Angle and Lynn are people disassociated with the economy. They represent selfish retirees or government employees. They don't represent the working class of people, the bankers, the tellers, the managers, the clerks, the craftsmen, the laborers, the Realtors, the secretaries, the young homeowners, the sales force, the small business owners that follow the law by paying taxes and having the proper licenses and permits. This is not only a country in need of good leadership, but a state and county in need of the same. Economic growth does not equal economic shutdown. Is the local economy better now than it was before the new Levy Court was voted in? If it was my business, I would have fired everyone of them. The bottom line is growth and expansion are necessities if you want to live in a prosperous economy. If you are unaware of what closed economies cause, visit small towns in the south or the Midwest where houses are deteriorating and buildings go empty for years. Look around you right now. Every half mile people are trying to sell their Ford, Dodge or GMC trucks, empty houses have broken windows and tall uncut grass. Working families are in a high state of stress and depression. Instead of blacktopping roads they are having patchwork repairs. Try to get a loan if you have slightly above average credit, or for that matter, even if you have excellent credit. You'll see the strictness of the banks circling their own wagons for survival. Just imagine if you have struggled your whole life and have less than average credit. What options are available to you?
By shutting down a sector of the economy you send signals of deep uncertainty to those that affect the lives of everyday workers. Those that lend money and those that employ people. As you continue your selfish outlook of our county you too will be affected by what you sew. If your services aren't less than adequate now, just wait while this economic knife continues to cut deeper and deeper. The next time you sit down for a thanksgiving meal, look at your family that sits around the table, if they could afford the gas to get there. They hide the difficult times because of pride, they say things are going fine when in reality they are worried about their own futures. If you don't get it, you never will. You will continue to live in a world of your own fantasy. If you work for the government, you will do your eight hours, go home, trim the lawn, wash the fuel efficient car, sit down for dinner, relax in your recliner until its bedtime, then wake-up the next day and do it all over again. If you are retired, you get up eat your calorie cholesterol controlled breakfast, go to your doctors appointments, stop by the post office, get your nails and hair taken care of, go home, piddle around the yard and garden, eat dinner and go to bed. If you own a business or count on a business owner to keep you employed, your days are full of worry and stress. You may try to go through a normal day, but you see doctors because stress has begun eating away at your health. You watch television in hopes theres good news for the nation. You go to bed, only to toss and turn with worry. You get indigestion and think you are having a heart attack because you know you are under stress. You rush to the bank on payday to get your check in quick enough to cover the ones you wrote for Little League or Girl Scout cookies. Is it a "Wonderful Life?"
Only you can change your future or help change it for your children and their children. Don't follow the crowd, be your own person. Don't vote for someone because your neighbor has convinced you to or your friends and co-workers tell you to. Vote for the future for yourself and your family. Think of whats going on in your own backyard. Loss of jobs, loss of businesses, foreclosures, bankruptcies, squabbles over money, stress and depression. The county government is yours to control, fire them in November.
And to my father, who is retired, watches what he eats and exercises daily, I know he continues to do the right thing based on his own strong will, he came from the world of struggling with his own business, worrying at nights and wondering what the future held while in the workforce. He represents a side of retirement that never forgets.

I won't go as far as to say Lynn lies , cause I don't know him personally . I just know a lot of his supporters.
I just know Allan hasn't lied to our community, he's not stabbing any one in the back for personal gain.
As far as Realtors I work for two very good ones durning tax seasons. You couldn't want better Bosses , It the luck of the draw as one would say.

Helen..I'm happy to see your such a huge supporter of Allan...he is such a wonderful person. He is the right choice for Levy Court. I'm glad to see that the people saw right thru Sean Lynn...He had such a bad attitude and was full of lies. His smear tactic against Allan really showed what kind of person he really is. Keep up the support since it's not over yet. I believe he will be the one who wins though. The people showed that Tuesday!

Let's not forget who called who names. Sean attacked Mr. Angel on his reocrd which should be fair game, and if you look at the results from the individual polling places Sean Lynn won big in Dover, but Allan Angel Won big in Leipsic and Little Creek. Kudos to Mr. Angel for getting his base out to vote thats how you win, but there has been many harsh mischaracterizations about Sean Lynn that Mr. Angel perpetuated throughout the campaign that were unfair, like Lynn is a Republican(Mr. Angel knows Sean has been a Democrat for years but would have the public believe this is a recent switch) or because Mr. Lynn is a lawyer he is somehow dishonest. Lets not forget the Democratice nominees for President and VP are lawyers not to mention 2nd Levy Court district representative (my representive on Levy Court) Brad Eaby whom Mr. Angel would like to forget practices real estate law and has more to gain from a bustling housing market than Sean Lynn a trial attorney. I hope Mr. Lynn isn't deterred from running for office in the future...best of luck Sean!

Lets not criticise Sean Lynn. He ran a hard campaign, under the worst of circumstances and he lost. He is a nice fellow, who got caught up in a primary that was not needed.
Mr. Angel ran a better campaign and was selected by those that recognize the truth. Sean is a good guy. In my opinion, he was used.
Mr. Angel has been honest and responsive and I am glad he won. He deserves to be a member of our county commission.
Now, lets move on and work on what is really important, selecting people like Mr. Angel who serve all of the people all of the time.

| I just perused Mr. Lynn's contributions records and it looks like Harrington Realty almost fully funded the Lynn for Levy Court campaign. Maybe Mr. Lynn should go work for Harrington Realty to help pay back all of the wasted contributions.
