In my opinion, the minimum age to run for President of the U.S. should be 45!

I also prefer a candidate with some military experience.

PTG -Never thought about that, but what you say makes sense.

Disgusted, you are also right.

When the age was set by the framers, a 35 year old Male was not expected to live much beyond 50, so the apparent attempt was to have the President be a mature elder statesman.

I think if we follow the same thought path, you should be at least 50 before you are eligible for the office of President.

A person must be 35 years old to enter the race for President of the United States.

Shouldn't it also be that a voter must be 35 years old to register to vote for President of the United States?

Wouldn't this put the election on a more level playing field?

If an 18 year old can vote than an 18 year old should be able to enter the race for President of the United States.

So, explain why Obama got elected.

Obama is POTUS because too many people who choose to make like ostriches and stick their heads in the sand voted for him in the states having the most electoral votes.

Sadly, there are folks out there who do not believe in free markets, but instead endorse socialism.  They want governments in corporate ownership and in boardrooms, ostensibly to protect jobs and worker incomes.  By and large, these believers choose to be uneducated about reality, but insist on guarantees.  This is to the extent where, if we had literacy tests that had to be passed in order to vote, they would fail.

The only guarantees in life are God's Word in the Holy Bible, our earthly demise, and taxes.

The Obanaites are essentially stupid and devoid of reason to the point of acting in an oppressive, anti-American manner towards those daring to oppose their views.  Sadly, this addy-tood now controls the American Democrat Party, as least as far as the federal and state levels are concerned.  Countywide and locally, there are some good folks serving under the Donkey banner.

DEMOCRAT = SECULAR REGRESSIVE = SOCIALIST = COMMUNIST = FASCIST = TYRANNIST = LIAR = WHINY BEDWETTER.

Remember, in public sector employment, the quality of one's work and content of one's character are, at best, secondary considerations - and, in many cases, that's a big stretch.  The big deal is how the employee fits into the agenda that the party in power, the elected leaders and legislators, and the politically appointed Department and Divison chiefs have for the agency.  If you don't fit, you're sent elsewhere.  I have seen that happen - an employee who proves management wrong is given the option of a transfer or submitting their resignation.

What about the  Delaware Public Integrity Commission?  Isn't it in place to help employees with these problems?

But most of us must use pen names, as did writers during the American Revolution.  I'm a state employee, and using my name would be career suicide, as it would for any public employee in Delaware.   The same holds true for many employed in private industry.

Folks knowing the truth, and are able and willing to clearly and concisely state it, have many more enemies than friends.  When you're ratting out folks who have so many skeletons that they're applying for building permits to erect closets in which to hide them, you have to do so in a manner that preserves yourself, both professionally and personally.  Many of the dishonest have friends in high places who can have evidence manufactured and render you unemployed, and unemployable.
Are you telling me that all of the men and women who fought and died in past wars to protect this country and its freedom died in vain so that lily livered people like you could sit back and know that people in our government are corrupt and not do anything about it.   You should be "Disgusted" with yourself!

You're right on that. besides, your life would become a living nightmare, as the gov't Gestapo would be right in your face.
