While I agree that there was excessive coverage related to the death of Michael Jackson, your 'morphed' comments are racially insensitive." --Sandy, Utah

Editor's Reply: Utter a critical comment about a black icon and I am a "racist"? For all you Jackophiles out there, who just can't get enough coverage of Michael Jackson's life and death, this is how absurd the idolatry has gotten... Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee (no relation to Michael or Robert E.) introduced a 1,500-word congressional resolution to ensure that Jackson "will be honored forever and forever and forever and forever and forever." Meanwhile, in the days since Jackson died, a dozen American soldiers and Marines have died in Afghanistan, engaging jihadis as part of Operation Enduring Freedom. Specifically, they were killed in offensives against the Taliban, now being led by a former detainee from GITMO. It is these uniformed American Patriots who deserve to be honored by Congress and the MSM, and revered by their fellow citizens every day -- not a moonwalking, race morphing child molester

Woo-Hoo!! Well said!!!!!!

McMahon was an exception.  Served in WW2 and Korea, and was a long-time USMC reservist.  Much more deserving of accolades, as are all who served (and are serving) in defense of our freedoms.

Michael Jackson was robbed of his childhood.  IMO, his father, Joe Jackson is

responsible for what happened to this enormously talented child.

I loved MJ's music and loved to watch him dance.

It saddens me to think about how he lived the last 15 years of his life.

I choose not to remember him as a "freak" but as a talented musical genius!

Thanks for the great tunes, Michael!

Michael is more of an enigma in death than he was in life...Is the funeral going to in LA, of the ranch?  Will it be Friday, Saturday or Tuesday(as Fox news reports this morining)?

So some ask what is the fascination with this guy...I think it has been his publicists ability to keep him a mystery..

He was the soundtrack of my young adult life, and his songs, strangely enough, bring back military memories.  Thriller and "Billlie Jean" played constantly during my tech school, and his trial on the television non-stop when I was over in Iraq.

A great talent, but a tormented and strange man who,as PTG pointed out, had enough money to buy himself out of trouble more then once.

As an artist and entertainer MJ was the best.  I when the family and friends start cashing in with the book deals, we may know more about the type of life he led.

Probably, but being rich and famous, it doesn't count so much.

Some think he killed his own self

His oldest son is in the same age group as the other boys he was reported to have molested and with no other normal thinking parent to allow their children with in 1000 feet of him , he may have had the tendency to hurt his own son.

I agree. He was a pervert and doesn't deserve all the attention.

PTG

He is someones child and someones father and someones friend.
His morals may not match yours
As all he lived his life until the end

He answers to no one on earth now
