Turn off all electric stuff and use the creek for washing and if you must potty go outside. Have I explained it to you?Last edited on Sat Nov 29th, 2008 08:40 pm by CAPT WINKY

Uh-oh, so when I ran up to the guy in the orange hat and said "great to meet ya!" and gave him a slap on the butt, that wasn't you??
I was wondering why he looked so confused.
OK, that didn't happen, but it would have been funny if it did.
I hope your wife's feeling better

Actually, it might be a good idea for someone in the media to explore this topic.
Some people do not realize that when they hear a toilet running that this is going to result in a big water/sewer bill.
It may seem like just an annoyance, but it is actually getting into your pocket.

You should not be so closed minded to these possibilities. The extra usages are often because of a problem that is going on in a household..don't be so doubting and negative....these are real problems.
I'm just trying to share some information.

"I catch myself letting the water run the whole time I am brushing my teeth. I am trying to break that habit and turn it off and on as needed." said Crazyoldcoot,
Just think about this....water running is not just a water bill but a sewer bill as well. We used to be on a septic system and my Dad made us take "military" showers to not fill up the septic tank. (This means turning water on ...then off..lathering and then rinsing off)
If you are on city water, there is only a water meter, not a sewer meter. Water in equals sewage out.
It is just about being conscious about what you are using and what you are going to be paying for.

This is something that adds to water/sewage usage. It may seem like a miniscule proplem, but it adds up. Think about this....gallons per day multiplied by a month can amount to a liot of wasted water/sewer.
Mine are anchored to the floor to keep them from running away.
If you jiggle the handle they think you want to play.
