Out of curiousity, I went to the States election web-site to view campaign contributions. It was interesting to see how much union money, specifically from the contruction industry, has been donated to Mr. Walls. Unions have brought down GM, Ford, and Chrysler and now, and have been, are sucking state and county government down the toilet as well. Why should taxpayers be expected to subsidize the construction industry through the prevailing wage laws? The only difference is that the auto industry must pass this cost on to the consumer through the open market - the state; however, just passes it on to the taxpayer. Just think that millions of tax payer dollars are being wasted. And I want to say that this is a problem with both parties, Repubs & Dems. Don't vote because someone's a nice guy- vote on the issues that actually affect you- and the last I knew, most of us pay taxes!

| Don't most families have some members that just can't seem to get along??? However, I feel it is very inappropriate for a politician to get involved in a family dispute and try to use it for his benefit.

Freedom of speech is one thing - defamation of character is another. I guess we're all so lucky as to not have any "skiffs" in our familes, right? BTW, got another Bob Walls mailing, promising to stay clean on his campaign - oh well, like they say, if it walks like a duck and looks like a duck - then it's a duck!

If Jack's own brothers won't even vote for him that ought to tell you something. There has to be a pretty good reason. Might be worth finding out.
I know I won't vote for him just becasuse of stuff I know he has done to me.
Last weekend there was some woman putting up signs saying not to vote for him, and they had her phone number on them. They said to call her and she would tell you what he had done to her. Jack got his lawyer to call her and threaten to sue her if she didn't take them down.
I guess freedom of speech is only a one way street.
Bob Walls doesn't come with all this baggage, and he isn't in the crap spreading business.

About a week or so ago, I got a mailing from Bob Walls talking about "dirty politics" from his competitor. The mailing went on to say what Bob has done for the district, what his plans were, and so on. At the time, I really appreciated the "dissertation" regarding "dirty politics" and that his campaign was focused on the issues and wouldn't stoop to that level. I said to myself "he's got my vote!".
Then in yesterday's mail, a very similar mailing once again from Bob Walls. A very positive message on one side and then a comment from two Republicans regarding Bob's positions within the district he represents. However, these aren't your typical Republicans. They are Jack Peterman's brother who've been embroiled in a dispute with their brother for several years, and believe me, there is no love lost there.
To me, Bob Walls just did what his campaign said he wouldn't do - lower himself to that level of his opponent. I thought highly of Bob Walls, but now - I'll vote for Jack Peterman - at least he doesn't go around professing the "purity" of his message!
