So ...we'll be buying the good ole bulbs from some guy selling them from the trunk of his car...reading about the latest bulb bust in the newspaper.....reading our neighbors name under the police records , cited in court , after being busted for buying black market bulbs. Maybe they'll have a lightbulb police enforcement squad raid your house, after someone tips them off, that you're using incandescent bulbs.
How will the migraine patients get their incandescent bulbs? By prescription? Wow, wait till we see the prices for PRESCRIPTION bulbs! We'll have to get on the bus trip to Cananda, to buy our bulbs cheaper, across the border. Ridiculous....hopefully someone in the government wakes up and gets this changed, before 2012.

| Under Obama's healthcare plan, it would probally take a couple of months to get a diagnosis. I didn't realize until the other day that his 47 million without healthcare also included illegal immigrants - aren't taxpayers already paying for them. That's why California has problems. Maybe we could expand trade with Mexico, send the illegals back, and let them manufacture the bulbs, smuggle them across the border, and surpass the drug trade that our government either fails, or doesn't want to control!

Once we stop making them, the only place to manufacture them will be China. That has worked so well for us. Let's destroy more American manufacturing.

I read that...I see where you can get a medical exemption , to use the incandescent bulbs if you have migraines. But if they're not sold in the stores, wonder how we'll get them? Bet there's gonna be LOTS more people going to their doc for migraine diagnosis!

I have them in some outside fixtures. When you turn them on they take several minutes to brighten up. Forget about quick lights.

Has anyone noticed that congress passed a bill, to outlaw most incandescent light bulbs, by 2014? 100 watts will be gone, from your local Wally World shelves in 2012, followed by your 75 watt, 60 watt, and 40 watt, in 2014.
You will only be able buy the mercury-filled CFL's, with the eerie lighting, for your home. Knock over a lamp and break one, in your living room, or bedroom, and you have a toxic waste clean-up situation , on your hands.
These don't work well, if at all, in dimmer lighting and 3-way lamps. It's not advised you spend more than one hour , within a foot of them, unless you buy an encapsuled type, so be sure to watch how long you sit reading your book by one, or let your kids do their homework near one.....nice, huh? Oh, and of course , there will be special hazardous waste disposal regulations for them, because of the mercury in them.
