After Ruby Vale's home burnt down on the property He and his wife donated it to the City of Milford as the site for a future city hall. Richard Carmean and his cronies on the council have completely ignored his wishes.Last edited on Fri Nov 14th, 2008 11:14 pm by 43petty

| Since this was a government renovation, did the city have to pay the prevailing wage for the work done? Everybody is worried about our fed government "bailing out" the banks and automobile plants, well, we, the tax payers, have been subsidizing the contruction industry through the prevailing wage since the 1930's. Same ole stuff, just a different cast of characters!

| In the Beacon, Crain said the the renovations cost 1.75 million dollars. That's a lot of money in my opinion. I'm very upset that the renovations were not in the best interest of Milford as a whole. It looks like all we got was a big council chambers but not what we wanted. Now they are scrambling to figure out how to make it a good renovation. Last edited on Fri Nov 14th, 2008 01:45 am by Captain Jack

Am I to understand that who knows how much money has been spent to remodel City Hall for no specific purpose? Why would anyone approve such an expenditure with no plan? I understood that the basement had to be waterproofed so records could be stored there. Now, they don't know what to put there?
The public has already spoken about the cashiers returning and it was an overwhelming "YES". Why aren't they there yet?
Mitch Crane is quoted in the Milford Chronicle as saying "People who work for the city don't want to move [back]." Once again, they are forgetting who pays them - US! If they don't want to work at City Hall, GREAT - go find another job - and hurry!
How did Carmean get approval from anybody for a building remodel with no plan for the future? Change the sign out front to read "Carmean' Folly". Only then would it be appropriate to leave it empty!
