| Delaware bound I sent you a PM. We took a walk last night but I forgot to call you first so we didn't want to just stop in. I'm sure things must be hectic as can be.

| No! I know where Actor's Actic is, but have never been there. Sounds interesting.

Byler's is great, too. I love the kitchen items. I need to get there more often.
Have you ever been to Actor's Attic? It's a professional theater and costume store. I went with my daughter, when she was looking for items for the Fantasy Trail event, at Cape Henlopen. Lots of fun, just looking around! It's near Target, on a little side road.

Lots of great places in Delaware, for such a small state, huh?
I equally like Byler's Country Store, west of Dover on Forest Avenue.
I've never been to Peggy's, but that's a great idea for this weekend!

I haven't seen that, but I will check it out. I like to go to Greenwood to the library, and Yoder's Country store. The library has a book sale right after New Year's, and sells all the previous years magazines, and some books. They do keep a rack of books for sale through out the year, too. Yoder's has spices and bulk goods for sale, and great subs! They sell stevia also, the natural sweetener.
We like to go to Peggy's Restaurant, in the northbound lane. I think it may be south of Greenwood. It's across the road from Smith Family Restaurant. Peggy's is very clean, good size portions, and a great selection, on the menu. The prime rib I ordered, was off the edge of the plate! My husband had stuffed flounder, although he said iit was very rich. The feta cheese is so fresh, and they give you a huge slab of it!

Great Finds!
Ya' know, one of my favorite places is that flea market, just south of Greenwood. It's in the north bound lane, and only open Fri. Sat. and maybe, Sunday. I really enjoy that place.....some junk, but I've picked up some (what I would call "good" stuff). The lady who owns it sets up for the weekend and breaks down, keeping just a trailer or two on the lot when it's closed. There are some old buildings on the lot, too. She buys her stuff from estate sales, I'm told.

Oh, I will definitely find out where Bargain Bob or Bill's is! I got a nice floor lamp,3 way bulb, new shade, handmade, with slightly raised cut outs around the flower pattern, all in earth tone pastels, for only $12 at Spence's ,last month.
Last year, I found a Queen Anne style glass enclosed display case, for only $20. Way in the back, by the furniture, I find kitchen goodies, like Corelle dishes, Italian made noodle cutters, and the best hand sharpened knives, someone had taken care of ,for years. I think a lot of his stuff comes from estate sales.

I think I made my "first error" (that's a joke)
It's Bargain Bill's, I believe, down near Laurel, on the east side of Route 13. Very large place, and stuff, stuff, stuff! Sorry people, please correct me if I'm wrong again.
Sounds like you have a plan! Great that you have a relative here to stay connected with us!

| I LOVE to go to Spence's! Where is Bargain Bob's? If we go, I definitely will be back...My daughter just bought a place in Lewes, so we have a place to stay .... I won't be away long from Delaware's beaches. Herring Point and Gordon's Pond beach are my favorites. Who knows, maybe he won't get the NJ job, but, yeah, I will adjust if we do move there. He said we'll live far enough west or south, to get away from the urban craziness we saw. And I'll have to come back for the Philly Butter Cake at Dolce's! Well, good and bad, I guess. At any rate, I'm sure you'll make the right decision, and will adapt to whatever situation presents itself. Before you move there, maybe you'd better get to Bargain Bob's, Spence's Bazaar, and local farm markets......just so you'll remember us.

| Good Luck. It won't take you long to miss Delaware. I lived in NJ for 6 years. Seemed like a lifetime.

If he gets the job, hope we can find a quiet place to live up there. I like it here, really hate to leave. Last edited on Thu Mar 12th, 2009 03:08 am by Delaware_bound

| Job interview for my husband. Driving up tomorrow, interview on Friday. Never been to either New Jersey or New York. The Tom-Tom says it's about a 3 and a half hour drive.

| Why on earth are you going to Moonachie? Are you flying out from Teterboro airport, or visiting the DKNY warehouse?
