CCM....  So what do you propose?  Just because you live outside of the city limits does not mean that you don't enjoy some of the services the the city of milford provides. Why don't you convert your house over to all solar energy.    Use the new geo-thermal heat and Air Conditioning systems?

You want to complain about utilities and taxes yet you do nothing to make a change!!!!Well,  Except for slandering certain city council members and long time citizens of Milford on a public forum!!!

Milford electric rates with built in profit to pay the salaries of City employees in part paid for by unannexed residents as well.....that's called taxation without representation. As I recall this is the United States of America and as citizens we can move wherever the hell we want, and we do have the right to criticize our government.

He is a good Kid and has really nice parants and I think it's good to get some young people involved, so many kids don't want to do anything these days but some people were saying bad thing about him.

I thought that Mr. Adkins would be a breath of fresh air, but after reading Richard Carmean's letter in the paper this week, I am wondering if I should.  I simply cannot vote for anybody he endorses.  Sorry Mr. Adkins, I really wanted to vote for you, but Dickie makes me wonder if it's some kind of set up.

who's list, your list, it's very easy talk without all the details, you want  low cost electric too, put your three ding bats in and see this town change and not for the better. Joe is still not telling the truth about him being on planing and zoning  in the town he is from.  This is the kind of people you want on council, WOW. So tell the truth, who made you mad on council because thats' where all the stories come from, people that didn't get their way about something.  I think i'm going to have sex, it's very clear that some of you don't have anything to do. Good night and have a great DAY TOMORROW.

Finally it is your turn to vote.  By now you know that the Milford Machine has decided that you MUST vote for CARMEAN AND ROGERS,  I mean, ADKINS, AMBROSE AND MORROW.  YOU WILL OBEY THE MACHINE!!!!  Former Mayor Rogers wants you to vote for them - because they have something that he knows a lot about INTEGRITY....

Good luck to the new kids on the block, JOHNSON, OECHSLER, AND PALERMO.  I am hoping that voters will see that Milford has to move forward, with a council that will work for the citizens of the city - not for themselves and their special interests.

how many city employees are working out of the building??

did doug and irv vote to not utilize the building at last council meeting??

did the city have a 1.8 million dollar margin call for electric purchases??

did the city sign as part of seven cities for a 45 million dollar letter of credit?

did it cost milford 90 thousand dollars as its share of the  cost of this loan guarantee??

did doug and irv vote last council meeting not to pursue taxes from those not on the payroll?? like last five years taxes"??

the list goes on.

milford could have tried and failed which is better then not to have tried at all.

Interesting that because no one on the dmec board feels as you do, your assertion is there was/is no leadership. Interesting how armchair coaches always fault everyone else, while they do absolutely nothing themselves.

nope, we voted to allow dmec to go for about 270 million dollars in electric contracts to last 36 months when the market hit its high.

each of the seven members vote. who told the milford council when dmec did their deals? no one.

who on council knew we could get margin calls and have milford go into default? not many?? but, some knew and kept it secret//

remember, vote sarurday for anyone ,but someone  ,because its our opportunity to be heard.

And if we had stood up it still would have been approved because the 6 other communities did approve the same agreement.

Sir , their is a reason for all of it, these men are good people, your just afraid you might have to take another penny out of your pocket, you all want services and extras from this town but you don't want to pay any extra, and if you don't like it here, MOVE back to where you came from, because you cause nothing but trouble here. Sir you have a fine day and God bless you.

it really does not matter who was annexed in the last few years. once they joined the city to get our electric, water, gas, and sewer systems they should have an obligation to pay taxes on their property.

taxes support the county

taxes support the city

why the city is mature enough to have annexation, have a lawyer, and city management, as well as a tax assessor they cannnot remember to put these properties on the tax roll.

unbelievable that the county was sleeping as well with the excuse, ..they were waiting for milford ,even if it takes forever to act.

yet, we pay taxes and want to have confidence all are being treated equally.

sad.

by the way, i have no true idea of who or how many properties are not paying taxes , but the city says next year they will look into it to correct it.the city does not want to look at back taxes they said at the city council meeting monday.

i really cannot believe it..some taxpayers are not paying taxes in milford??

why?

it seems when milford annexed property from the county, the city never told the county and the county never told the city.

if you have farmland and its tax exempt in the county and, you annex and change from farmland to commercial ,or even residential you should go on the tax rolls.

nope, not in milford..

since it was farmland exempt taxes and now in milford the county is to collect taxes for the fair value of the newly appraised commercial property. nope, says the county, they figure who would ask the question..

is there anyone in the county who cares to collect taxes due? or,are the little players all that pay??

o yes, milford is now working on a m.o.u...memorandum of understanding to tell the county and they tell us.

some sweetheart deal?

wonder who got to not have to pay taxes for years:shock:
