SEAFORD — Downtown Seaford will be a "winter wonderland" the evening of Saturday, Dec. 6 with the annual Seaford Christmas Parade.
Presented by the Downtown Seaford Association and the city of Seaford, the parade will begin at 7 p.m. at the corner of Nylon Boulevard and Pennsylvania Avenue. Lineup starts at 5:30 p.m.
Ginny Short, associated for nearly five decades with Seaford/Blades Associated Charities, is the grand marshal for this year’s "Winter Wonderland" theme event.
Registration forms are available at city hall, Mortgage Network Solutions on South Market Street, and Fantasy Beauty Salon and Dick’s Barber Shop on High Street.
Online registration is available at the parade Web site — http://www.mychristmasparade.com.
In an effort to help the needy during the holidays, parade participants and spectators are asked to donate canned goods and unwrapped toys to support Associated Charities organizations. Volunteers and Polaris Rangers courtesy of Harley-Davidson of Seaford will pick up donations along the parade route.
The traditional parade route includes Nylon Boulevard/Pennsylvania Avenue, east on High Street, north on Market Street, ending at Seaford Middle School.
