Harvard issues an AB not a BA.  They actually use the Latin to issue a degree.  But then education goes deeper than DSU.

I think the general consensus here is that the contributions made by Playing the Game to various threads are pretty darn useless...

on a side note, what is "AB"? Is that a new degree we haven't heard about?

Now I understand why the financial status of the state is so screwed up. You are probably as valuable to the state as you are to this blog.  What a waste of our tax dollars.

Gosh teach that will save maybe $10,000 a year.  How does having everything after school conserve energy?  You pay additional light and heat after school.  Did you ever study economics or reality in college before they turned you loose on the future of America?

I guess I will start with a few basic ideas.  We can all reap benefits from conserving. Start by trying to live with less paper.  We have a wealth of technology.  Books online, electronic transfers of student assignments, and stop making copies of copies. If everyone could just come up with three areas where they could save on supplies throughout the district, it would make a dent in the budget.

We could also charge a small fee for sports programs, limit transportation (no busses in town), courses that need supplies or equipment could charge lab fees, and no evening activities or games.  Have everything after school so conserve energy.

We could also charge a small fee for collected IPods, Cells, and headphones.  It could also help with discipline.  Maybe we should also implement a "fine" for breaking school rules.

You would be suprised to see how much we could all save if we just all put our heads together. Share your ideas.

I just heard today that Woodbridge came in first on their Science and Social Studies DSTP tests.  I have not checked or verified this.  If that is true, maybe we should consolidate with the Woodbridge School District.  With only 8 miles between us, we would only need the district office located in the old state police barricks.  Just a thought.
