I think it's "Advanced" something.  On Rt13 at the corner next to Brenford Animal Hospital.

Thanks 2...but I was referring to the name of the business run by the former mayor's brother.  Anyone know that name?

Very often see those things -- "Whisper 2000" or something like that in tabaloids, maybe the magazine section of the sunday newspaper, or in a romance type magazine.

I dunno.  If you're going to call someone a fool, I guess it'd be those that reelected him.  Sure wasn't me or my family!

Because, dumb a**...when you say "y'all" need a theatre, you are automatically excluding yourself, correct?

Thanks for the explanation BigBear. Who knew?

Sounds like PTG is the one who needs a movie theatre since he spends his time reading and commenting on a blog for a town in which he doesn't live.

How this post went from a question on paving to the former mayor I'm not sure, but since we are now on that subject, does anyone have the name of that company that sells listening devices?

In my humble opinion, when you get shafted that many times, that hard, it takes a while for the swelling to go down.  I think you'll see a lot of people damning his disgraceful raping of old Smyrna for a long, long time.  Not much of an Ex-Faux King Mayor fan base here.  They either learned of their wrong headed ways or went back underground for a while.

Not pent-up angst.....but anger at all the HORRIBLE things that hizdishoner and family did to the town and good and decent people.  It is something that is terribly hard to get over when you see all the suffering that they caused:(

Rumor has it that she sells brooms for sweeping, used ones of course, after she has worn them out flying them.

See how quickly we went from street sweeping to a full body slam on an ex mayor.  You were right HB, this is better than any Hollywood blockbuster could ever be.

Given all he got away with, I think the illegality of audio cameras that was the last thing he cared about. I saw this and couldn't help but think of who it reminded me of:

 Profile of the Sociopath
  • Glibness and Superficial Charm
  • Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.
  • Grandiose Sense of Self Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."
  • Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities.
  • Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.
  • Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.
  • Callousness/Lack of Empathy
Unable to empathize with the pain of their victims, having only contempt for others' feelings of distress and readily taking advantage of them.
  • Early Behavior Problems/Juvenile Delinquency
Usually has a history of behavioral and academic difficulties, yet "gets by" by conning others. Problems in making and keeping friends; aberrant behaviors such as cruelty to people or animals, stealing, etc.
  • Irresponsibility/Unreliability
Not concerned about wrecking others' lives and dreams. Oblivious or indifferent to the devastation they cause. Does not accept blame themselves, but blames others, even for acts they obviously committed.
  • Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
  • Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.
  • Criminal or Entrepreneurial Versatility
Changes their image as needed to avoid prosecution.

My company had a system installed from the faux king mayor's brother's company and it does just that.  I can't help but wonder if it's the same one sharky has on his house? But it couldn't be, that would be ILLEGAL on private property....

Smyrnite ---- do you think that people who sell and install surveillance cameras probably also sell and install listening devices such that they can record not only what the eys could see, but what a reallllllly good electronic listening device could hear??   Wouldn't one expect so?    Hmmmm ....

No, no , don't put in a movie! Then we'd miss all these exciting blogs about whether or not to use the town's street sweeper and how them sons -a %%**& in the town shut off muh 'lectric when I didn't pay the bill, and , and.....

This is way better than anything Hollywood puts out and doesn't cost $10 a ticket to be part of it.

I can imagine this thread if they didn't sweep it...........Blah,blah,blah, our tax dollars are spent on a street sweeper, and for what? Why aren't they out sweeping up that dust until the paving's done? I bet M.S. had something to due with it, his sister sells sweepers, etc.,etc.;):)

Maybe the town got a price break for cleaning the street themselves.

Yes all that is true but the contractor should be doing the work not the town of smyrna.  That is what DelDot is paying the contractor for.

Have you ever cleaned a wall or woodwork before painting it? Removing the dust and dirt before paving would make sense to most folks.:?

Yup, if the street sweper wasn't used you'd see them running a tractor with a rotating broom on the front. That would have made even more dust. That was a good use of your town equipment.

blah blah blah...thanks PTG for your invaluable input, but unless you can explain why  the under construction street was "swept", maybe you should toddle off and play some other game.
