In an innovative twist on conventional fundraising, residents of Smyrna and near by communities will have the opportunity to earn money for Smyrna High School Athletic Boosters simply by test driving a new Ford vehicle. For every participant (18 years or older with a valid license) who takes an all-new Flex, or a new Focus, Edge or other Ford vehicle for a spin during the Drive One 4 UR School event on Saturday, October 4th, Ford Motor Company and Willis Ford of Smyrna will donate $20 (up to a total of $6,000) to Smyrna High School Athletic Boosters. Not only is this a great opportunity to generate much-needed funding for school sporting activities, but it is also the perfect time to check out the newest Ford product lineup, which features new cars, trucks and crossovers loaded with cutting-edge safety, quality and design innovations. These are the same advancements that helped Ford earn the most top-quality vehicle ratings in the industry, according to J.D. Power and Associates’ Initial Quality Study. Additionally, some of the models available will feature Ford’s exclusive new SYNC technology, a fully integrated, voice-activated communications and entertainment system that works with most digital media players and Bluetooth-enabled mobile phones.
To participate in this exciting opportunity, and to get a firsthand look at Ford’s all new offerings, interested individuals should visit Smyrna High School between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. during the Smyrna High School Alumni Games.
Ford Motor Company recognizes that schools need to raise funds to support their extracurricular activittes. So, the Drive One 4 UR School program was developed as a unique and exciting way to engage the local community and support their fund-raising efforts. Since launching in December of 2007, more than one hundred Drive One 4 UR School events have taken place nationwide, raising thousands of dollars to support sporting and extracurricular activities.
Take a Spin and Win!
As a thank-you to test-drive participants, each person who drives will be entered to win a 4GB Microsoft Zune with video/photo capabilities (one given per 100 test-drives) or a Magellan® GPS with 3.5" color touch-screen interface (one per event) as a gift from Ford. Winners are randomly selected by Program HQ upon receiving the waivers and surveys from this event. Prizes will be mailed directly to the winners.
