In coordination with the town of Kenton, the Kenton Ruritan Club is sponsoring a parade as part of the club's 50th Anniversary Celebration on June 27, 2009 beginning at 10:00 a.m. The parade will include a show of fire engines and equipment, ambulances, a marching band, antique tractors, several floats, antique cars, farm animals and wagons. There will be a decorated bicyle contest for children 12 and under with prizes awarded for the winner. All day activities are planned in conjunction with the parade and vendors will be set up behind and around the Kenton School. There will be food vendors, arts and crafts and games for the children and a host of other activities.
