I always enjoyed watching him on TV....Diva
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Impressionist Fred Travalena, a regular in Vegas showrooms and on late-night talk shows with his takes on presidents, crooners and screen stars, has died. He was 66.
Publicist Roger Neal says Travalena died Sunday at his home in the Encino area after a recurrence of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which had first surfaced in 2002.
Travalena was his large number of celebrity impressions, leading to the nicknames "The Man of a Thousand Voices" and "Mr. Everybody."
His act included presidents from Kennedy to Obama, musicians from Frank Sinatra to Bruce Springsteen and actors from Marlon Brando to Tom Cruise.
Travalena started his career in Las Vegas in 1971, and for years was an opening act, supporting such stars as Wayne Newton, Shirley Maclaine, Johnny Mathis, Don Rickles and Julie Andrews.
Finally, he gained headliner status in 2001 at the Stardust Resort and Casino, and joked that he was "an overnight sensation after 30 years in the business."
A 1987 TV special, "The Many Faces of Fred Travalena," was nominated for an ACE award for best cable comedy special.

| Farah stopped all the talk of Ed's death, but she only had a few hours before Jackson's death bumped her out of the spot light. To me she was the greater loss. Never was a Jacko fan. The Mays guy will do little to stop us hearing about Jackson for the next month or two. I just hope they pull all his commercials they are aggravating. But what may be worse is now we will have to put up with the guy with the wired eye that does the Sham-Wow commercials. He looks like he is fresh out of prison. I wouldn't buy a thing from him. There may be a"light" at the end of the tunnel.
Due to lack of $$$, too much stress, and the withdrawal of an occasional alcoholic beverage and a filet mignon, and havin to share a TV with others he may still yet, fall over.
I wonder how much $$ will be in his commissary.? I wonder if he likes crackers and cheese?

Unfortunately we are not done with Mr. Madoff
Now that he has been sentanced to 150 years in prison, the United States Govt. will be in charge of his health care.
Bureau of Prison (BOP) levels are;
CARE level 1 inmates: This designation is made by the DSCC. These inmates are less than 70 years of age and are generally healthy, but may have limited medical needs that can be easily managed by clinician evaluations every six months. Examples of such needs include mild asthma, diet-controlled diabetes, and stable HIV patients not requiring medications. Level 1 institutions are located approximately one hour or more from community medical centers since medical care is not often needed.
CARE level 2 inmates: This designation is made by the DSCC. These inmates are stable outpatients who require at least quarterly clinician evaluations. Their medical conditions, including mental health issues, can be managed through routine, regularly scheduled appointments with clinicians for monitoring. Enhanced medical resources, such as consultation or evaluation by medical specialists, may be required from time to time, but are not regularly necessary. Examples of issues at this level include medication-controlled diabetes, epilepsy, or emphysema. Level 2 institutions have no special capabilities beyond those that health services staff ordinarily provide; however, they are within about an hour of major regional treatment centers (for example, Fort Dix and Fairton, New Jersey), thereby permitting more immediate attention to medical emergencies. Most BOP facilities are classified as CARE level 2 facilities.
CARE level 3 inmates: This designation is made by the BOP’s Office of Medical Designation and Transportation in Washington, D.C. These inmates are fragile outpatients who require frequent clinical contacts to prevent hospitalization for catastrophic events. They may require some assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, or eating, but do not need daily nursing care. Other inmates may be assigned as “companions” to provide the needed assistance. Stabilization of medical or mental health conditions may require periodic hospitalization. Examples of these medical conditions include cancer in remission less than a year, advanced HIV disease, severe mental illness in remission on medication, severe congestive heart failure, and end-stage liver disease. Level 3 institutions are located adjacent to level 4 institutions, that is, federal medical centers.
CARE level 4 inmates: This designation is made by the BOP’s Office of Medical Designation and Transportation in Washington, D.C. These inmates require services available only at a BOP Medical Referral Center (MRC), which provides significantly enhanced medical services and limited inpatient care. Functioning may be so severely impaired as to require 24-hour skilled nursing care or nursing assistance. Examples include cancer on active treatment, dialysis, quadriplegia, stroke or head injury patients, major surgical treatment, and high-risk pregnancy.

The one thing I hate being called is "old", older, or any of that.My heart and my mind are so much younger than my body, and I cannot imagine being Miss Farrah, at 62 enduring what she did. MY GOD have mercy on her. I can tell u she must have really wanted to live, bless her heart. Her stamina is very impressive, but to loose in the end, poor women.
MJ at 50, apparently was a walking time bomb, too much stress, $400 million in debt, would someone please tell me how any one get that far. ? And can rent a house for 10,000.00 a month? Who would rent to u? I would not.
Too much medication, too little food and nutrition, too much stress, messed up family lif. etc. etc.
Ed Mc, lived an extravagant life not enough money to cover his life style. going way beyond any budget, stress can kill u, that is a for sure.
Now Mr. Billy, the product seller. He could have many causes for death. Bumped his head, but to me looking at him, he is or was a candidate for very high blood pressure.
No one can holler like that, and not have it.
Any of these circumstances can and do happen every day to just every day people.
I am waiting for Madolf to drop over. He is a crook from the get-go, and hopefully will pay dearly for what he did. People who have lost money because of him, need to know he is being punished to the fullest extent of the law, and his wife shouldl too.
Whys should she enjoy the benefits of his crookedness?

I have never heard of her. She lived a long life though. Interesting that you saw her shows in the 50's -- Yet, you say you're too young to have children. You are truly a conundrum.
Are you seriously that bitter that you are going to bring this up anytime I do or say something that doesn't fit within your idea of what age you think I am? I never said I saw her shows in the 50's. Is "I Love Lucy" still on TV? Maybe this will fit into your idea of what I should be doing at the age you think I am. You can watch things.....online. Whole tv shows. Whole seasons. Whole series. When I was a kid my mother, who loves I Love Lucy and My Little Margie had the dvd's. What I didn't see from her collection, I finished watching on tv.com when I randomly found out that it was there.
Bitter? Not so much. You just got my hackles up with your criticism of Pastor Jim. You write like a “mature” person, maybe someone who is my contemporary. Back to this post, I totally understand that you can watch just about anything you want via the internet, CD’s if you can find them. You forgot to mention that you can listen to old stories on satellite radio. I also enjoyed the I Love Lucy shows, so now maybe I’ll keep a lookout for this lady’s old movies. I’ll also try to refrain from bringing up your age. Chill.

You don't have to be old to know who old people are. There are such things as reruns and referencing.

He was kind of a celebrity in recent months. He’s done the tonight show twice recently, one with Jay over the Winter, and Conan last week. He also had his new hit TV show on Discovery Channel called Pitchmen. I just blogged about this back on June 19, 2009. It’s unfortunate that he had to die so young. I wonder if this come back due to him getting hit in the head yesterday on that Tampa flight.

I guess they are saying that his plane yesterday blew a tire when landing, and he hit his head. He is quoted as saying "All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping. It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head." If it was this that caused his death, it is yet another reminder that if you have a head injury, go seek medical attention, even if you think you don't need it.
Something you might have thought was learned from the death of Natasha Richardson

| Michael Jackson's case is a pitifully sad one. He was once a beautiful little boy and later on a very good looking young man. Why he ever thought he needed to start messing with nature is beyond me unless it was the time when mental illness came upon him. His ole man ought to be really proud of himself for driving the little boy to fame and fortune, depriving him of the childhood that he obviously spent his whole life trying to recover. The greed and lack of love that those close to him possessed is horrible. All they wanted, obviously is to keep the money rolling in even if it killed him, which it eventually did. Too bad his other blood relatives couldn't seek or be the help he needed.

Hopefully someone will come to the rescue for them. There must be someone in Hollywood, normal and loving.
His 3 children are now in the care of their Grandmother Catherine Jackson, as well as they should be...Remember they are the "innocent" ones..

It is often said things come in threes. Well we say farewell to 3 celebrities this week.
1. Ed McMahon at 86 with cancer
2. Farrah Faucett at 62 with cancer
3. Michael Jackson at 50 found at home this afternoon not breathing, question of cardiac arrest
