I got there shortly after that, right out of HS, was 4th Infantry, did not have a good time, but extended twice for early out and stayed with the 4th, after the 1st tour couldn't see myself in the world still in.

Did enjoy the R & R's though Australia and Bangkok couple of Camron Bay trips. Did not do a lot of the dinky dou was dinky dou enough.

Guess I should clarify. The thread is about Woodstock. I hear I had a good time there, not Nam.

I believe you when you say you were...
Not everyone was, some of our lives and others depended on not being drunk or stoned and take offense at your generalization and affirmation., I for one remember this lil girl, were you like her or were you to drunk and stoned.

Yes, It was humor but, true.
I can sympathize with u as to where u were, which gave us the freedom to be where we were, as crazy as that sounds.
My ex-husband, Marine Sgt. had his Sr. Prom in Viet Nam.

I hope that was intended as humor.  I grew up in the 60's and can tell you where I was.  I was NOT at Woodstock.  The military would not let me off that week.

:dude:  They are looking for anyone who attended... I can't wait to read the report when it comes out. I have friends who lived close by the farm and heard  all the music w/o all the hassle of actually attending..Hard to believe it's been 40 years this August.....
