Game,

You might want to look up the definition of "true threat" regarding the President of the United States.  Let me know if you can't find it, and I'll provide it for you. Regarding your posts, don't worry, EVERYBODY'S reading them.

Angel,

I don't think there is anything going on in Delaware that isn't going on in just about every other state across the nation.

As newcomers I think we seem to notice these things more because everything is new and I know I scrutinize everything until I feel comfortable.

So we may be more vocal about some things,  it might be a bit hasty to say that the locals "don't care" they may just know from past experience that being vocal is just the same  as spinning your wheels on an icy road.

Think what you will.  This isn't Massachusetts, where you come from, and where government employees are all unionized and are led by the Kings of Liberalism.

Most of us are extremely dedicated and necessary.  We are not political appointees or NJ toll takers.  We have slackers as does any industry, but in total, we are a dedicated work force.

You brought it up so ask your wife about the differences between MA and DE.  I'm sure she will concur.

Bluesman, I think when you tell the truth it really hits some where it really hurts.  Look at CR Voter's comments about day-traders.  It's obvious he is comfortable with his civilian job, good state benefits, and hopefully he's doing well.  I find it rather amusing though that he has no compassion for those who have far less than he does and that is rather troubling considering he's one of the lucky state workers with a retirement on the horizon.  The "gap" between those the have and those that do not is starting to put a strain on this economic picture, so this next generation will have to work till the day they die.  Look at those crazy banks offering 40 and 50 year mortgages!  Sad situation and yet those that have not have to borrow to go from pay day to pay day.  We've done it to ourselves and some day we may again see "MADE IN U S A" if we get lucky. :)

Well today has been rather interesting and all you right wingers need to really thank the Buffoon in the White House for all the turmoil he's manage to create on his so called watch.  Bush's war is out of control and has generated more turmoil than the US Economy can handle.  The middle east will be the driver for all his stupidity and arrogance and lack of real leadership.  Those of you who are living pay day to pay day with two or three vehicles are going to feel the pain soon.  Middle East hot spots will be the straw that breaks the Buffoon and all his words of wisdom.  THE GREAT DECIDER BUSH HAS NOW BECOME A MODEL FOR ALFRED E NEWMAN :D

The markets are "telling" you something and its not going to be pretty.  Yesterday an option call for Dec 2008 reflected $200 for oil!  Just didn't seem right but considering the demand, the never-ending political crap in the middle east along with all the other elements surrounding the futures you just have to grin and bare.  Hard times are on the horizon as we all know and no matter what the political pundits say the market will do what the market will do and nobody can fix it with I-V therapy and FED rate cuts.  Rates needed to rise to fix some of the problem.  More bad news....

And you like many other people are a taker from the Government....

You like many others have a government job that doesn't make one bit of difference or impact on the present or future lives of any citizen of Delaware.

You condemn people less fortunate than you,  who for whatever reason aren't able to work and do receive aid from the government.

Personally I don't see much difference between what some government employees do and what the person unable to work does.

The FED did its "duh mode" routine for the world to see yesterday and the only one that made any sense was Ron Paul asking some very tough questions!  Maybe he can get back to basics and shore up the real conservative values again.  Going to have to look at him more as time passes but he needs to distance himself from the Buffoon in the White House and all his cronies.  Right now Ron Paul is doing the right things by communicating real issues and not pushing the Buffoon agenda of never - ending Bull Crap and him being the GREAT Decider!  The Great IDIOT.  CR Voter or who ever you really are today..... I love making money the old fashion way.... I earn it when "dumb money" comes into the market place..... Traders do that and it's the American way some say...... hahahaha

Why should people act any differently then our own government does.

The government is spends well beyond their means with the "war on terrorism" while the citizens of this country suffer on our own soil.

I'm tired of the people who "have" telling those who don't and are less fortunate "to bad you are beneath me why should I help you."

That's not the philosphy that our countries very foundation was built on, or have you forgotten that. How sad that we are becoming a Nation that doesn't honor the very promises we make to all those who sought our country out.

No, we have some serious issues with people spending more money than they have.  I am sick and tired of people who want everything that everyone else has, but aren't willing to work or wait for it to happen.

The harder you work and the more you save, the more you will have in the long run.

G-O you are like a child who believes the world is beautiful and everything should be equal for everyone.  Why do you involve yourself in day trading?  Because you want more and you aren't willing to work for it.  You would rather gamble and hope your number comes up.

Go away with your holier than though, Bush bashing attitude.

Weve had a spending problem every time we have a central banking system. The federal reserve system is the core issue. It gives congress a blank check. Gee I wonder what they ve been writing checks for? And PS the national debt is not ment to be paid. they need us working constantly to make their scam work.

The debt would get paid off by 8 BILLION if the IRSS would go after the defense contractors that owe it like they do grandma who owes 40.

Well lets see today what happens in the financial world of confusion, corruption and God knows what else!  Maybe the Buffoon in the White House will see the light and hire more incompetent people to run our economy into the ground.  Lack of real leadership in the financial sector will take this market down even more as the US dollar head south for the winter months.  Exporting our future has run its course and both sides of the political isle have no clue as to what to do about it now.  When you sell your soul to the devil "making deals with the enemy" what do you expect.  We make nothing and love the word Made In China or where ever else we like to send our jobs too making corporate America happy!  :)  Great day today as the markets show their true colors in the Goldilocks Bush / Kudlow economy!

What do you see as the problem with 40 or 50 year mortgages? People ARE living longer, and living healthier, as well. I bought my house with a 30 year mortgage and when rates dropped and my income rose, I refinanced it to a 15 year at some point.

I don't think it is a good idea for most, but I would suspect this would generate a lot of deductable interest in the first couple of years/decades....that could be useful for some.

The FED got it wrong as usual and Benny Boy should have not catered to the Bush administrations worries.  Look at what you have now.  50 / 40 year mortgages and a US Dollar heading south with the Chinese ready to make a few changes that could really make the Bush / Kudlow Goldilocks economy look like the Nightmare on Elm Street.  Only in American can the Right Wingers run their mouths on FOX NOISE and say how great it is and yet the option traders have calls at $105 today....Nice huh?  Angel did you buy any GM?  haha...... toilet time

Well I see the financial institutions are back to their old tricks again and now you can see the "band aid bush" fix coming to the mortgages under ARMS resets!  Try telling these bad debtors who bought homes with $1000 down and convince them you have a great deal for them now.  TRY FORTY YEAR AND FIFTY YEAR MORTGAGES AND THAT TELLS ME THIS COUNTRY IS ON THE ROAD TO A MAJOR CREDIT DISASTER WITH OUR KIDS PAYING OFF DEBT THEY NEVER KNEW THEY HAD.  THE FEDERAL RESERVE DON'T GET IT AND THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING SO TAKE YOUR HEADS OUT THE SAND YOU  RIGHT WINGERS AND FACE THE MUSIC.  SEVEN YEARS OF TOTAL INCOMPETENCE WITH NOTHING TO SHOW FOR IT EXCEPT A DAMN WAR COSTING US LIVES EVERYDAY AND WE HAVE A MAN SITTING IN THE WHITE HOUSE TWO BRAIN CELLS SHORT OF BEING TOTAL IDIOT.  I HOPE THEY BRING BUSH UP ON UP ON WAR CRIMES CHARGES AND I'M SERIOUS ABOUT IT.

I dunno....the "I know what is going to happen and you don't" bit gets old pretty quickly, and one has to consider his political motivations.

His golden ticket out was negotiated up front....if the board of directors wants to do that, not much you can do.

It is interesting that once you get to a certain management level you get the best protection from the decisions you make.

I remember a conversation with a C-level person at my company where she commented that after a merger there would be cuts, and she used herself as an example (they would not need two CFO or CIOs, so one has to go). What she neglected to mention was the $6 million over 3 years she would eventually walk away from with the company...nevermind that the average worker got about one half of one percent of that.

Ben Franklin.... your better off not in the market now days and if the SEC would do their job and fix the loop holes in the system along with jail time for CEO's things might not be so bad but the system is so corrupt its unbelievable.  The pacific rim investors will be watching our markets today because the FEAR FACTOR finally got their attention.  Look at the overseas markets last night.  A blood bath and profit taking galore.  This economy was on steroids and now those who thought greed was the way of life will now PAY THE PIPER..... Mike Harrington and all his real estate buddies better wake up and soon.

I wonder what Prince's golden parachute is. the guy from Merril lynch walked off with what 120 million? Ridiculous. thats why I dont play in the stock market cos the corps are just plain stupid to give anyone that kind of money as a parting gift. And they do it all the time. Thats money that should be going to investors or for growth of the business

As much as I hate to agree with CR....one of my investments was in overseas funds and small cap funds for my kid's college education, and both have done very well over the past 10 years or so. Maybe if I'd invested in pork bellies I'd have done a few percentages better, but I'm pretty confidant that I'll be able to afford to send my kids to college (while hoping for scholarships, of course).

I subscribe to a strange philosophy in today's market that says one invests long term for long term benefits. I don't want to double my money in a year, I don't want to flip my house and I have no desire to get rich quick.

War Crimes?  Well I wondered why he won't let his new appointee "define" the use of water-boarding as a method of torture?  I can see why he won't go on record.
