What is the real deal on the pow story? I've heard that he was offered his freedom but refused to leave. The implication was that he knew that if he were released everyone back home would know that he spilled. Do you think that is true? How do we find out the truth any more? We never did get "W's" military, driving or criminal records did we?
How can McCain hug and kiss "W" after "W" destroyed him in 1999 with push polls indicating that McCain had an illegitimate mixed race child? It's hard to respect such a person.
It's been so long since there was a republican in the white house that I doubt we could even recognize one anymore. Teddy Roosevelt would be great, but where is such a person? I doubt Teddy could get the support of the religious right which is now running the party. As long as they are in charge, expect more like W & John/John.

Basically there are two socialist-minded tax-&-spend very liberal Democrats running and one candidate that many of us are not sure what party he really belongs to. He is a good buddy with the most liberal Democrat on planet Earth and that is Ted (hey, look out for that bridge) Kennedy. He is also tight with another super liberal Democrat and that's the senator from Wisconsin named Feingold.
So let's just say there is no REAL REPUBLICAN RUNNING THIS YEAR!
Too bad the great ones like Teddy Roosevelt are long gone. America could sure use that "Big Stick" of his.
We could use a great leader like Teddy Roosevelt and not extreme far left candidates like Obama and Clinton who are dedicated to a goal of socialism for America at the expense of this nation's middle class patriots. These two simpletons need to get a clue and look what socialism has done to the once great nation of England.
These two candidates, backed by a congress with a majority of members from their own party, have never seen a government entitlement program, funded by tax dollars from people like and you and me, they couldn't resist!
On the other hand, America certainly does not need a sell-out carpetbagger who, upon returning from North Vietnam, was fast to divorce his wife in Florida and move to Arizona just in time to play upon his POW experiences and earn votes of pity from people who had not yet figured out how shallow this man really is.
By the way, after setting up shop in Arizona, McClone, I mean McCain, set his sights on the young, attractive and filthy rich Cindy Hensley and her millions she gained from her daddy's ownership of the Budweiser distributorship covering the entire state of Arizona. Smart move for the wallet and smart move for the bedroom by this man of strong moral values.
All he needed in addition to his newfound wealth was someone in the media who was very powerful and well-connected to clear a path for him. Someone like former Arizona Republic CEO "Duke" Tully. Tully became godfather to McCain's baby son back in the eighties. Before long John McCain was batting .1000
Does anyone remember Duke Tully? He was the famous WWII fighter pilot who would gladly speak (in uniform) at any and all statewide veteran's groups who requested him. Tully would vividly tell his audience about his days as a fighter pilot and how he climbed the ladder of success to achieve his high profile position at the Arizona Republic, by far the state's largest newspaper.
Just one problem, Mr."Duke" Tully never was a fighter pilot, unless it was at an amusement park with his grandchildren. He was living the mother of all lies and getting away with it for years until he was exposed after numerous "Real Veterans" started to question the accuracy of his stories.
Tully resigned in disgrace as CEO of the Arizona Republic and was last seen (sometime in the 1980s) running a small weekly newspaper in North Dakota. Rumor had it that he was just about to get a pilot's license for a small Cessna out there.
Oh, one more thing, lets not forget McCain's exclusive membership in the "Keating Five." Good 'Ol Charlie Keating known for his skill at screwing the elderly out of their life savings.
They say you can judge a man by the company he keeps. Duke Tully and Charles Keating---Get the Picture?
It's easy to see why real conservatives and solid Republicans have an extreme dislike for this sellout senator from the Grand Canyon State.
This is the same guy who tried like hell to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens just so he could further his chance at gaining his share of hispanic voters and all at the expense of law abiding, hard working Americans who, if McCain's efforts were successful, would see their wages suppressed even more as the result of the millions who would flood this nation's workforce with "cheap labor."
Yes sir, thank God a border state like Arizona has a man of the people.....A man like Johnny Boy McCain.
I have a very strong respect and admiration for his POW experiences, his toughness while a POW and his refusal to submit to the Viet Cong, but McCain is a disgrace to the political party he belongs to and all because of his willingness to sellout his party, those who elected him, and probably his 95 year-old mother all in the name of political gain.
Forget voting for the lessor of evils.
Clinton, Obama and McCain----In a nation of nearly 300 million people is this really the best we can come up with? All three of these idiots are a joke, but it's not funny and unfortunately the joke is on us!
