How to fix the U.S. problems with the deficit, housing slump, save the devaluation of the dollar and create 10 million jobs in two years? On April 11th of this year I got into a heated debate with a friend of mine that works at Venture Capital firm in the U.S. The following is the conversation we had in regards to immigration that will lead to how we can solve America’s financial and immigration mess in the next two years.
I disagree. Stop the brain drain from other countries by building viable products elsewhere. My suggestions to the startup founders are to get out of the Hyatt hotel and fancy conferences and go live among the folks abroad and try to build something. If the rest of the world’s economic problem were solved, we and the Europeans would not have immigration problems. We would not be wasting so much money and resources on border fences and walls to keep our side of the grass greener. Walls do not work for East Germany in Jerusalem or between Mexico and the US.
If you want to do something in this country, provide health care benefits to all so it does not become the responsibility of startups to provide social services. Affordable health care should be a right not a privilege. Spend money on education and less on walls and fences.
