Did you get the letter?

Did you agent say you needed it?

I would think that the agent can do a drive by and tell the insurance company exactly how far it is from your house.

This is one of the most ridiculous things I have ever heard.  The water department installed a fire hydrant on the corner of our lot and we were told by them to report this to our insurance company and would probably get a discount on the premium.

When I called the insurance agent she told me I needed a letter from the fire department to send to our insurer.  The real surprise was that the fire department wanted $50.00 for the letter.  I know  times are rough but this is ridiculous.  Will the next thing be charging hourly rate to come put out a fire.  We already pay a fire tax so what will be next?
