Say it to my face and I could care less. I thought, however, that we were guests
in this forum and agreed to certain rules of civility. Did we not?

CN, or Cottonwood Zonnie, I'll be telling the moderator that you are telling lies about me. I've tried reasoning with you, but you just don't get it.
Let's see . . . satire, . . sarcasm . . lies, if they are all one in the same, Saturday Night Live and others of it;s ilk are in for some big lawsuits.
Lighten-up Flyrep, . . . You are the one who makes your reputation from government conspiracies, I just poke fun at you . .
Or am I really a CIA operative who is a part of the big government conspiracy to reduce you to a joke, . . . . . . Oh, you are doing that all be yourself!

Exactly.
I'm tired of selective enforcement of useless ordinances and laws when there is
no harm done.

Hey Flyrep. I agree with you...this is a sad day. Big Gov, always has interest in your wallet and will always find ways to "punish" (FINE) people. Remember: THEY know whats best for us! Last edited on Tue Mar 18th, 2008 01:25 am by Marywanna

You have to forgive Flyrep. . . . . . he believes that the US never landed on the moon, the Supreme Court was behind the JFK assassination, and all those who had documented evidence about Roswell were killed by the FDA.
He sits in a dark room with tin foil on his windows and garlic cloves strung around his neck. I have to hand it to Flyrep though, he is the ultimate conspiracy buff. Reality for him is the Sci-Fi and UFO channels.

| Don't care to discuss any issue with you; with your other agenda, you will just continue to go off subject and post your other ramblings.

My agenda is smaller government that operates in the confines of our
founding documents. You said that some Arizonans want more laws about
unattended children. Do you care to elaborate? What other laws and ordinances
ought to be passed in Big Guy's Arizona? Do tell.

| flyrep, you seem to have a different agenda than discussing an issue - thanks for your ramblings.

Well, sir, the Chicago prosecutor backed off in the end and I say that is a good thing.
I believe in responsibility that goes along with my rights, but new laws seldom
provide more protection. For example, it is naive to think that the politicians who
pass tobacco laws care about the health of the children. They want the tax
revenue and it has been that way since Maryland, Virginia, and North Carolina
were English Colonies. The laws are mere window dressing to make the sheeple
think that their "betters" actually care about them. Meanwhile they have excessive
fees, taxes, and fines to impoverish us. Another example; they had to remove
red light cameras from San Diego. Do you know why? The corporation
who made them was caught shortening the timers on them which caused deaths.
The law makers and corporation cared nothing about our safety. They wanted to
collect excessive fines and got innocent people killed.
When they kill us, they often get immunity of some kind. That is what happens
when we let the government
do as they please. I will not my best to help keep them on a short leash
here. We cannot have freedom and security with a strong, tyrannical government.
Most of the founding fathers believed that and so do I. Have a great Sunday.

| I beg to differ with you. We hear all too often "I only looked away for a minute" and a child was gone. If you can not be a responsible parent, it is time that we take them to task. Too many children are neglected, we need to have stricter laws to protect them. Many of us in Arizona want stricter laws so no child will ever be left alone again.

I beg to differ. The consequences do not fit the "crime" and violates
the Eight Amendment. If you are really concerned about abducted
children, you could ask your congressman about U.S. corporations engaging
in abductions. Dyncorp was trafficking young prostitutes in Kosovo and
nothing happened. This is a documented fact. We do not need this in
Arizona. Nor do we need high taxes and gun control. Let California and the
eastern states have that.

| Unfortunately in this day and age, it only takes seconds to have a child abducted. The police officer was correct, no parent should ever leave their child alone in a car even for 1 second. Hopefully by having to go up on charges she learned her lesson and will never put a child in danger again.

This is tyranny through and through. I met a retired CPD officer at a CCW class
that was nothing like these people. That is the difference between a peace officer
and an officer who abuses the rights of citizens. A peace officer would have
given this woman a warning or lecture on not leaving children unattended.
What would you expect from a city
that requires a license to buy ammo? Disgusting.
