I get both papers pretty regularly up here in the Superstition Foothills area. Both companies do a very good job of delivery. However, I've stopped picking up the AJ News, save to toss it in the trash. What started out as a very good paper has turned into a heavily slanted liberal rag. It's too bad when bias becomes an agenda. It's obvious I'm not the only one seeing this. There are virtually no classifieds, advertising has dropped and the paper itself is a fraction in size of what it once was. The Independent, on the other hand, so far has managed to stay neutral and reports the news without a slant in either direction. Mr. Thornton, please do not let me down!

I too live "up north".

The only time I have a problem is if my neighbor's cocker spaniel has been out and about.  They taught him to fetch their paper and he got it in his head that if they like it when he brings theirs, maybe he should bring everyone else's too.  So, if you and I live in the same "berg" your paper might be falling victim to the four-legged newspaper thief.

I haven't seen an Independent in my driveway in a long time, but I do get the AJ News regularly.

I live up here in the county island N of AJ... Goldfield, The Dog Patch, whatever you want to call it.

For quite a while earlier this year we stopped receiving both local papers... then it was sporadic, and now it seems we have the AJNews back, but haven't seen the Independent in a long time.

Was just curious if the routes had been cut or what? (Worst case scenario, the management of both papers *thinks* we're still getting the papers)

Just curious.... I understand we get them free (when we get them), and with the economy and all, totally understand if deliveries needed to be cut.

Mr. Thornton?
Mr. Barker?

Joe
