That's right Christa, not enough to keep the show going but it is a start. Look for more donation jugs going to be placed at local businesses thru out  the year, and please do donate to help keep our show going. Thanks to all who contributed in these hard times.

Watched the show (among others) from a rooftop up here just N of AJ..... what a great show this year!  Was it me, or was it substantially longer this year??
(maybe it just seemed that way laying on a roof...I dunno)

Anyway.... kudos to all those involved.

I'm so sorry to hear of your lose Janice.

My reply was not  necessarily directed to you or about you. I was letting everyone know if they watch the past few council meetings  much was discussed about the budget and how it will affect us all in the community over the next year or more ..

I've been dealing with the death of my grandmother and a serious health issue of another family member. The council has been the last thing on my mind.  Glad you are so involved.

Again, thanks for the info, John.  You are a good friend and neighbor.

edited to fix a silly typo

We are trying to raise as much as possible to supplement the budget cuts parks rec's has received. The festivities are no cost to enter the schools  field or any place else to watch the show. I believe with my talks with Jeff bell the fireworks alone are 14k, not counting the hours of pay to staff.  See you all there.

Hey, John.  Do you know how much the festivities cost the city?  What is the fundraising goal? Does the entire amount have to be raised, or just a portion?
Thanks for working on this, John.

Mesa has canceled their display this year due to budget cuts. While Apache Junctions show will still happen this year with the deep budget cuts next year could go the same way as Mesa's this year or at the least a scaled down version for next year.Parks and rec's director Jeff Bell has authorized the placement of 2 tables with 5 gallon water bottles one at each entrance to the track area for the collection of donation to help with the fourth's display next year. So while you are out enjoying the show, please stop by and donate any amount you wish to help keep our fourth fireworks alive. Let's show our AJ pride, we need it.

Parks and rec's will be taking donations at their office on Idaho until the fourth also.
Call and make a pledge if you can not make it, they take credit and debit cards.

480-982-8002  option2 and then option1 gets you the main office
