LLL, this article is a complete backpedal.  I saw the video of her saying it.  There's no denying it.  Now she wants to blame it on a dead guy for giving it to her?  She also wants to say that others did it too?  That's her big excuse?!

She said she turns to him OFTEN.  This means she gets a lot of her ideas from him, not just this one.  If she turns to him OFTEN, why does she need to hear the quote from someone else?  Seems very much like she is taking it back in some ways.

Claiming to admire Mao for his "political philosophy" is dreadful and now she's trying to sugar coat it.  Sorry Anita.  You need to just admit it.

It took her 3 days to come up with this nauseating justification.

LLL, Beck isn't the one who is wrong here.  You are just getting your information from sites that want to help defend these idiots.  I watched the episode of Beck and watched her make those comments.  Did you?  Didn't think so!

LOL, love the pattern here.  FOX NEWS becomes Pubbiecants voice during rhe Bush administration so Bush could actually get a favorable news report since his administration was such a disaster and he couldnt do anything right.  So get your friends to run a network news channel to make you look good. Its a success the rightwingers fall in love with the channel.  Years go by and they are repeatedly busted for poor reporting and favoritism.  In true Reppubicant fashion they attack all other media outlets as Liberal safehavens.  LOL typical Pubbiecants are late and pushing their failure and blame elsewhere.....  Way to go Beck your still looking like a big idiot and your sheep are just as dumb for believing you.

Obama aide fires back at Beck over Mao remarks

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- White House communications director Anita Dunn fired back at criticism from TV commentator Glenn Beck on Friday, saying that a Mao Tse-tung quote Beck took issue with was picked up from legendary GOP strategist Lee Atwater.

White House communications director Anita Dunn says she picked up a Mao quote from a legendary Republican.

//CNN.imageChanger.load('cnnImgChngr','imgChng/p1-0.exclude.html');

"The Mao quote is one I picked up from the late Republican strategist Lee Atwater from something I read in the late 1980s, so I hope I don't get my progressive friends mad at me," Dunn told CNN.

As for Beck's criticism: "The use of the phrase 'favorite political philosophers' was intended as irony, but clearly the effort fell flat -- at least with a certain Fox commentator whose sense of irony may be missing."

On Thursday night's program, Beck showed exclusive video of Dunn discussing the communist leader, who was responsible for a cultural revolution in 1966 that included re-education camps and setting the army and students on witch hunts against his opponents.

Millions of Chinese suffered or died, most notably teachers, writers, political opponents or anyone deemed a "reactionary."

Dunn, taped in a speech in what appears to be a church, said the leader's philosophies were a guidepost for her own strategy on politics. She also praised the philosophy used by religious icon Mother Teresa.

"The third lesson and tip actually comes from two of my favorite political philosophers: Mao Tse-tung and Mother Theresa -- not often coupled with each other, but the two people I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point which is 'you're going to make choices; you're going to challenge; you're going to say why not; you're going to figure out how to do things that have never been done before."

The comments set Beck into a tirade.

"It's insanity. This is her hero's work," he said. "She thinks of this man's work all the time?

"It would be like me saying to you, 'you know who my favorite political philosopher is? Adolf Hitler.' Have you read Mein Kampf? [She wants to] fight your fight like Hitler did," Beck said.

Dunn recently blasted Fox News saying that the cable news organization often operates as either "the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party."

"When he [Obama] goes on Fox, he understands that he's not really going on it as a news network at this point. He's going to debate the opposition. And that's fine. He never minds doing that.

"They're widely viewed as a part of the Republican Party. Take [the GOP's] talking points, put them on the air, take [the GOP's] opposition research, put them on the air," Dunn said.

Fox News in a statement to CNN said its programming was comparable to the editorial page of a newspaper.

Still, Beck wasted no time Thursday in using Dunn's comments to blast the Obama administration for promoting what he deems a radical agenda.

"America, how many radicals is it going to take? How many radicals surrounding our president before you understand that when the president said he wants to transform the country, he wants to transform it all right," Beck said.

Dunn pointed out that during his presidential campaign and since being elected President Obama has been interviewed by Fox News and will be again in the future. Watch more of Dunn's comments »

"He'll go on Fox because he engages with ideological opponents," Dunn said. "He has done that before, and he'll do it again."

But it's not just Dunn, a Democrat, who has used Mao as someone she reads.

Media Matters for America, a liberal media watchdog group, points out that former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, also a Fox News contributor, quoted Mao in a 1995 Roll Call profile.

"War is politics with blood; politics is war without blood," Gingrich said, citing Mao.

Karl Rove, another Fox News contributor, wrote in a December 2008 Wall Street Journal op-ed that President Bush "encouraged me to read a Mao biography."

Beck led the charge against Obama's former green jobs czar Van Jones over a petition Jones signed in 2004 calling for an investigation into whether government officials deliberately allowed the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks to occur.

Jones said of the petition on the Web site 911truth.org: "I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever." Jones has also come under fire for comments he made, also before his White House job, including those in a video on YouTube. In it, he uses a vulgar expression to describe Republicans.

Jones resigned from his post in September, saying in a statement that he came to Washington to "fight for others, not for myself."

"I cannot in good conscience ask my colleagues to expend precious time and energy defending or explaining my past. We need all hands on deck, fighting for the future," Jones' statement said.

Jones is a co-founder of colorofchange.org, a group that recently has been pressing advertisers to boycott Beck's program after Beck called Obama a racist.

We all know had this been anyone on the right making this outrageous "real racist" statement it would be on the BREAKING NEWS on every channel, cable or network and it most certainly would have been on the front page of the NYT and the LA Times.  So what gives?  Because it is a Liberal black political commentator saying it about another Democrat black political news analyst then it's somehow okay?  Are you kidding???  Why is that okay?  If that had been Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh or anyone else who is not a far leftie, this would have been a volcanic eruption and you all know that.  Now do you see where the anger comes from on right?

This whole game is so in the "fix" that it's almost not worth the effort.  But, don't get giddy yet because we aren't done fighting for what's right.  But you guys shouldn't be either.  Where's your moral outrage???  Stand up and be counted, we would have a lot more respect for you if you did.  That is why Barack Hussein Obama isn't getting the respect the office deserves because he wants to play "Mr Ego, hear me roar" instead of being the President we all want, desperately need and deserve.  We need a 'real' Prez that is looking out for us, all of us...anyone know where we can find one???:cool:

It's not such big news when they have to retract...and so it goes.  LOL;)

This is some serious scrambling and some pitiful but appreciated back peddling.  They know they are rising to the top of the slander lawsuit block and they want no part of it.  Again, you don't mess with the master, he has been doing this for 20 years and he has had all the kitchen sinks thrown at him.  But this was nothing more than a childish, petty, radical leftwing attack on his personal and professional integrity in hopes of bringing him down, it's the new Soros/Democrat Way.  If people do not agree, then they must be destroyed. But they will have to bring their brass knucles to this fight because Rush always wins in the end because he has truth on his side.;)

Same reason the trash papers at the supermarkets sell.  Rush has figured out how to get people (well, a portion of the public intellectually challenged) to listen to him...his fans are not  concerned with  if what he says is truthful or stated in context, as long as what he says validates their own misperceptions....if you think the earth is flat, and I come on the radio and tell you without a doubt, positively and without question, all thinking people agree the earth is flat, you're going to think I'm the most brilliant person you ever heard on the radio.  It's not hard to do that..it's rather easy, in fact, which explains why so many 'shock hosts' are successful.

What Rush may or may not decide to do is bring litigation against the libelous and slanderous statements that were made about him framing him as a "racist" that were pattenly not true.  And guess who was in the middle of the woodpile???  The WH and Georgie boy Soros who is running the entire Democratic party, yup.  He has every right to make them back up their statements or be held accountable. They can't just make up crap and get by with it as supposed "news" organizations.  At some point in time, someone needs to take a stand on the race baiting issue to stifle Conservative opinion.  The Soros and Alinsky way, Target, Label, and Destroy. They need to be stopped. We can't keep allowing this for the next 3yrs.

If Rush does nothing then what happens the next time he decides he wants to get involved in something, they will use this episode against him if he doesn't dispute it.  Yes he's controversial, yes he says some funny things, but he is no different than any of the late night talk show people or SNL or anyone on MSNBC, CNN or any of the other BHO controlled media.  SNL mimicks BHO using a black man....OH NO!!  Does that make them "racist"?  Hello, there are black people who are famous and they are going to get talked about.  And guess what?  The only one who doesn't like it is our Prez.  Go figure.

Who is more controversial than Michael Vick, but he's in the NFL and there are many more who were involved in breaking the law.  So the Controversial excuse is just that, a cover.  If Rush had told his audience that "someone" needs to put a pellet gun in Chrissy's mouth and blow up his head, I bet this would be a whole different conversation now wouldn't it??  You hate Rush as much as I detest Chris Matthews, but I wouldn't want anyone lying and just making up crap about him or inciting violence against him, it's not necessary, he gives us enough material that we can prove.  Chrissy tingle up the leg has the right to be as big of an idiot as he chooses, but he and some others crossed the line this time. Let's stop with the double standard.

So don't worry your wittle midget minds over Rush Limbaugh, he will be just fine.  He always wins in the end, if you don't believe that, ask Harry Reid.  LOL :D I predict somebody is going to end up looking like a big fool and I guarantee you it won't be Rush. :dude::cool:

I suppose rants thinks Sen. Snowe is an entertainer so this is the appropriate thread for his nonsense....Sen. Snowe should be honored for having the courage to buck heads against the real head of the Republican party, Rush.  It takes guts to do that...she's obviously OK with that..unlike a former female Republican gov who decided to leave her office to pimp her book.

You truly have to wonder at what level of absurdity the authoritarians function. Talk about speaking out of both sides of his mouth, Limpjaw is unbelievable.... Yet the authoritarians worship him?

You know the authoritarians have no conscience... could it be because they have no cognitive ability??

LOL, glad your support goes for someone who abandoned her state and country.  I really dont see a backbone there.  If she really had the pair that you guys play up she would have stayed and been a great gov, now she is just a book tour headline with all the other subpar authors....  I hear you guys will enjoy the hunting section with pop ups and everything.  The Cheney page is probably a hoot.

Limbaugh says he'd gladly speak with Obama
Posted: October 13th, 2009 12:10 PM ET

From CNN Ticker Producer Alexander Mooney

Limbaugh would gladly meet Obama at the White House, the conservative talk radio host said.

(CNN) — Rush Limbaugh says he'd gladly sit down for a conversation with President Obama if the controversial talk-radio host ever scored an invite to the White House.

"Absolutely," Limbaugh, among the president's fiercest critics, told NBC when asked if he'd be willing to speak with Obama. "I'd be honest with him. The President of the United States is the President of the United States. I want this country to succeed, and if he invited me up there to chat, I would owe him up the dignity of being honest."

The comments aired on NBC's Today Show in the second part of an interview that first ran Monday.

Limbaugh was also asked to play word association when the interviewer named the following political figures:

President Obama: "Disaster"

Michelle Obama: "Garden"

Jimmy Carter: "An utter disgrace and embarrassment."

Sarah Palin: "Misunderstood and underestimated. I admire her. People have tried to destroy her. She has more backbone than any man in the Democrat Party."

George W. Bush: "He's just the most decent, down to earth, real man you could ever hope to meet."

Hillary Clinton: "Nurse ratchet"

His remarks sound right on to me. Thanks for posting this!!

BILL AYERS CONFIRMS

Since the campaign I had my doubts about the authenticity of Barack Obama's book Dreams from my Father. Like many, I suspected that the book was not written by Barack Obama but by one moonbat terrorist named Bill Ayers.

Well apparently Bill Ayers has admitted this to be true - he did write Obama's Dreams from my Father. At least, that is what he has told conservative Chicago blogger Anne Leary. She can tell you more of her run-in with Bill Ayers in DC.

As this story develops it will be completely ignored by the Obama Myrmidon Media (OMM) ... resulting eventually in embarrassment.

Lie, lie, lie!  You totally left off what "Mama" wrote.  Does Mr. Webmaster need to be informed about you???  This is what "Mama" wrote:  I believe we're seeing a trend here; Palin and Raz both requiring writers.  Interesting, yes?:dude:

Now that is really embarrassing.  But it does explain a lot about the radical left wing views and agenda.  For such a supposedly "smart" man, you really have to question his judgment and his honesty with the American people about who he really is.:cool:

Michael Moore has another hit!

Tied for sixth-place with $4.85 million was Michael Moore's "Capitalism: A Love Story," which expanded nationwide after a week in limited release. The Overture Films documentary, Moore's exploration of the roots of the economic meltdown, raised its total to $5.3 million.

"Capitalism" played in just 962 theaters, compared to 3,036 for "Zombieland" and about 1,700 cinemas each for "Invention of Lying," "Whip It" and the "Toy Story" movies.

This was Moore's second-best nationwide debut, behind his 2004 sensation "Fahrenheit 9/11," which had a $23.9 million opening weekend.

Overture is counting on "Capitalism" to stick around for an extended box-office run, as did "Fahrenheit 9/11" and other Moore hits such as "Sicko" and "Bowling for Columbine."

"Where most movies are a two-week story, Michael's movies play for a long time," said Kyle Davies, Overture head of distribution.

1. "Zombieland," $25 million.

2. "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs," $16.7 million.

3. "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" in 3-D, $12.5 million.

4. "The Invention of Lying," $7.4 million.

5. "Surrogates," $7.3 million.

6 (tie). "Capitalism: A Love Story," $4.85 million.

6 (tie). "Whip It," $4.85 million.

8. "Fame," $4.8 million.

9. "The Informant!", $3.8 million.

10. "Love Happens," $2.8 million.

Troops Die While Obama Dithers

by Oliver North

The Obama White House seems to have adopted Scarlett's decision-making process for the war in Afghanistan. Note to the O-Team: Kabul isn't Tara and Americans are dying while the commander in chief dithers.

At the conclusion of the 1939 movie, "Gone With the Wind," Vivian Leigh, playing Scarlett O'Hara, defers decision on what to do about the major crisis in her life with the phrase, "After all, tomorrow is another day." Unfortunately, the Obama White House seems to have adopted Scarlett's decision-making process for the war in Afghanistan. Note to the O-Team: Kabul isn't Tara and Americans are dying while the commander in chief dithers.

On Wednesday, September 30, a full month after General Stanley McChrystal submitted his "assessment" of the situation in Afghanistan, President Obama convened a three-hour meeting of his "national security team" in the White House Situation Room to "discuss next moves." According to information subsequently provided by the White House press office, General McChrystal "participated in the meeting" via an encrypted video link and no decisions were made.

Less than 24 hours later, the commander in chief boarded Air Force One and headed, not to meet with his commander on the field of battle, but to Copenhagen, Denmark, to meet with the International Olympic Committee. His mission: Convince the IOC to select Chicago as the site for the 2016 summer games. Apparently, winning Olympic gold for Chicago is more important than winning a war.

That's not just my opinion, that's the sense of many who have put their lives on the line in Afghanistan. On Wednesday, as the "Sit Room" meeting was ongoing, I was with a grievously wounded Navy SEAL at the National Regional Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. His concern was not for his own life-threatening injuries, but on his mates, carrying on the fight without him.

Later that evening a military officer in Kabul offered this evaluation: "This is only the second time that the president has talked to General McChrystal. We still don't have any decisions. We don't know what we're going to get or when we will get it. What we do know is that what we have isn't enough to win." According to press reports, General McChrystal told the meeting participants that the situation in Afghanistan is "serious" and "deteriorating."

The White House press secretary now says that Wednesday's meeting is the beginning of a "thorough review of the options and strategy" for Afghanistan and that at least "three more strategy sessions have been scheduled." That's not good news. Time is not an ally in this fight. Indecision is an enemy in every war. The trip to Copenhagen is an unnecessary distraction.
The O-Team's vacillation is proving costly on the battlefield and politically damaging here at home. The primary opponents to doing what needs to be done in Afghanistan are leaders in Obama's own party — on Capitol Hill and in Vice President Joe Biden's office.

On the eve of this week's belated White House "review session," 50 Democrats in the House of Representatives signed a letter urging the president not to send any additional troops to Afghanistan until he crafts "a well-defined military exit strategy." House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, already on record opposing any troop increase in Afghanistan, says there is "no appetite" in Congress for "escalation."

Vice President Biden supports a "less is more" counterterrorism campaign using Special Operations troops, air strikes and unmanned aerial vehicles to attack Taliban targets in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Unfortunately, this is precisely the "offshore" approach pursued by the Clinton administration after the 1993 Al Qaeda attack on the World Trade Center. The effectiveness of this strategy was evident on September 11, 2001.

On March 27, following a "careful policy review," Obama proclaimed Afghanistan and Pakistan as "the central front in the War on Terror," announced a "comprehensive new strategy" for the region and ordered 21,000 U.S. troops to Afghanistan; increasing the number of Americans there to 68,000 by the end of this year. A month and a half later, he made General Stanley McChrystal — an advocate of pursuing a counterinsurgency campaign — the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan. On August 17, the president declared, "This is not a war of choice; it is a war of necessity. Those who attacked America on 9/11 are plotting to do so again. If left unchecked, the Taliban insurgency will mean an even larger safe haven from which Al Qaeda could plot to kill more Americans."

Those statements were true then and they are true today.

The counterinsurgency strategy for how to win in Afghanistan has been carefully prepared by General McChrystal. If Obama wants to be remembered for something other than playing politics with the Olympics, he needs to bring General McChrystal to Washington and have him testify before Congress — and soon.

In "Gone With the Wind," Scarlett O'Hara's hesitancy and uncertainty made her an engaging character. Those qualities don't work in the role of commander in chief.

As for whether Chicago gets the Olympics, frankly, my dear, I don't give a d**n.

I love it when the libs get scared, it's very telling.  Gov Palin will be a dynamic force to be reckoned with in the political arena.  That is just a fact.  She is not a typical politician, she shoots straight from the hip and just because you don't agree with her politics doesn't mean she's less of a person.  Why do you guys do that, you always go straight for the personal attacks and it lessens you, not her.  What is it about her politics that sets you off so?  If you notice when her name is brought up it brings all the left wing fringe snipers out with both barrels aimed straight at her, but not her politics, her personally.  Is it jealousy?  I don't get it, but is becoming comical.:cool:

I actually very excited that Palin is going to come out with her book now...before people totally forget who she is..and that she walked off the job as Gov.. mid term....and that she completely embarrassed what's left of her party by saying non-sensible, outrageous statements.  I hope her book covers the formative years...how she skipped from college to college....how she kept track of everyone that upset her so she could get her revenge as Gov and then quit....and what she suggests Americans look for in their next salmon.  I understand the cover of the book is going to feature a portrait of a pig...wearing lipstick.

Breaking: Sarah Palin book so exciting publisher jumps release date; only 50 days to wait!

September 28, 2009

You Sarah Palin fans/haters who thought you had until next spring to buy and then read at least the first part of Sarah Palin's book need to change your plans. Pronto!

Grab your lawn chair and get down to the local bookstore immediately.

The book is so delicious and revealing -- according to the publisher, who might just have a stake in ginning up excitement over this -- they are moving up the publication date.

"Going Rogue: An American Life" will now go on sale on Nov. 17.

So everyone can get copies as Thanksgiving presents.

Harper publisher Jonathan Burnham says the ex-governor obviously invested herself deeply -- and also quite quickly -- in penning the 400-page volume, and it contains "fascinating details."

Some of which, no doubt, will not be so fascinating to some within the failed campaign of Arizona Sen. John McCain, who picked her as the first GOP female on a presidential ticket in an obvious bid for the Arctic vote.

Many in the mainstream media will also be eager to see how the Republican hockey mom praises them for their objective portrayals of her -- and, indeed, her entire family -- all last fall.
First stop on the book promotion tour, no doubt: CBS to chat with David L. and Katie C.

Harper's says it's ordered a whopping advance printing of 1.5 million copies. But that still means that more than 300 million Americans will have to share copies.

Or perhaps they'll print more.

Just a warning...Sarah Palin is gonna start her book tour this fall instead of next spring so be aware of even more stupid statements coming from her to pimp the book which will be required reading for the Ann Coluture/Malkin peeps.  Ni will have a hard time deciding between Palin's books and some really awesome cartoons he found in the nursery school.  No such thing as bad publicity, ya know....
